“The most amazing view in Sorrento!”
We had the best vacation ever starting with Gerrardo's father, Francesco, picking us up at the train station and his mother's warm welcome. She left us with her delicious homemade tomatoes for pasta and homemade limoncello and abasket of oranges and lemons! The apartment was spotless and the location was perfect - a mix of a beautiful view of the Bay of Naples and a very short walk to Piazza Tasso. Just far enough out of the center of the city so it was quiet for sleeping and close enough to walk. We will definitely book again - this location made it a perfect vacation for us!
“WONDERFUL WEEK IN SORRENTO PENTHOUSE”
We were four adults who spent a wonderful week in the Sorrento Penthouse Apartment. Upon arrival, Apolonia & Francesco greeted us with a review of the apartment amenities, wonderful homemade Limoncello and a basket of fruit. Apartment was very clean and offered many amenities. The apartment is a few minutes walk to Piazzo Tasso, away from the crowds of Corsa Italia, and close to the train station. A great supermarket was across from the apartment which offered many Italian specialities and groceries. The view from the Terrace was spectacular, Mt Vesuvius in background, and offered a wonderful way to enjoy cocktails, lunch or dinner. We met Gerardo, who was very helpful and assured us they were available to assist us in any way necessary. Mille Grazie to Apolonia, Francesco & Gerardo - A Special Treat- when we return to Venice, Florida, we will visit Apolonia's daughter Sofia who just opened an Italian Restaurant in Venice. Can't wait to taste her specialties!!!
“Fantastic central apartment in Sorrento with great views”
We have just returned from spending a week in this delightful accommodation in Sorrento. We were a party of 2 adults and 2 children and the apartment served us perfectly. Gerardo was my initial point of contact when making the booking and he always responded promptly and patiently to my questions regarding the property. When we arrived at the apartment the owners were waiting with a welcoming smile and they showed us around. The apartment was very clean and well equipped. The roof terrace offered fantastic views of the bay of Naples, Vesuvio, Sorrento and beyond. It was a great place to sit and eat a meal, enjoying the views away from the hustle and bustle of Sorrento. The apartment is no more than a 6 min walk to Piazzo Tasso, 15 mins max to the train station. The apartment is in a residential area of Sorrento with supermarkets, patisserie and Pizza takeaway within 3 mins of the apartment. We were also left some lovely goodies by the owners including the delicious Limoncello. Thank you Apollonia, Francesco and Gerardo.
“Best Location Near Downtown Sorrento with easy access to Sites”
The hosts were very welcoming. Gerardo picked us up at the train station. His mother provided lemons and tomato sauce prepared from her own garden (she was a true delight). A minor problem with the plumbing (slow drain in one of the showers) was quickly resolved. Yes like the others stated, the view from the tiled deck is fantastic – Bay of Naples, Mount Vesuvius and wonderful sunsets over the water. Three markets for food and household items are within a 100 feet towards the east. In the other direction about 200 feet is a rental car agency for those occasions when you are going someplace without easy access to the train or water shuttles. We rented a car on two days during our four week stay.
“A little bit of heaven...”
My husband and I just had the extreme pleasure of staying at this wonderful penthouse apartment. It was perfect. The location, the rooftop views, the neighborhood were incredible. But even better --- the adelizzi family. We were met at the station by charming Mr. Adelizzi. Ar the apartment we were greeted by his lovely wife who gave us lemons and oranges from her garden, fresh eggs and the best homemade olive oil I have ever tasted. Their knowledgeable son gave us a lot of local information and was very responsive to our needs. The location is within easy walking distance of the Piazza Tasso and main areas. I truly hope I have the opportunity to stay there again. Many thanks to the adelizzi family.
“The host treated us like family members visiting from abroad!”
Geraldo and his father met us at the train station with two cars to take the five of us with our luggages and drove us to the condo. His mother waved to us from the terrace as we got off the car. The family showed us where everything was, how to use all of the kitchen appliances, the washer, etc. They have fresh tomato and lemon from their graden, large bottle of water in the fridge for us. The terrace ia amazing, incredibly large and scenic. We sat our there watching the sunset over the sea. It is so romantic! The apartment is a comfortable 10-15 minutes walk to the train station and to the centre of town. On the day we left, Geraldo's father and mother each drove a car to drop us off at the train station. We are very touched by their genorosity and hospitality. We will be back again! I will highly recommend my friends and relatives to stay here!
“You might want to move in permanently”
My wife and I prefer to stay in an apartment when we are going to be in one place for more than two days and selected Geraldos condo on line. The place is beyond superb. Fantastic views, close to everything in Sorrento and completely outfitted, it even had coffee and condiments in the cupboards. The adelizzis have a small farm and there were fresh oranges and lemons from their place in the kitchen. They also make their own olive oil which was also in the kitchen. Geraldo met us at the train station and drove us to the condo where we met his mother and father. The family showed us where everything was, how to use all of the kitchen appliances, the washer, etc. The local market, pharmacy, and supermarket made getting anything you needed a snap. We had breakfast on the deck every morning, and had drinks there in the evening. Even on the one day of rain, when the clouds lifted, we watched Mt. Vesuvius get unveiled while having a glass of Limoncello on the deck. My wife had recently had knee surgery so we appreciated the elevator in the building. Athough we have been to Italy several times, this was a first trip to Sorrento but it definitely will not be the last.
This penthouse was perfect and the view was beyond description. When apolonia opened the shutters the view took my breath away. The views are of the bay of Naples, Vesuvius and the roof tops of Sorrento--along with views of the hillside and beyond. The apartment was sunny, spotless, spacious and had all the amenities of home. The location is perfect--a very short walk to Piazza Tasso and the center of Sorrento. The train and bus station is also close by. There is a friendly produce market as well as a supermarket less than one block from the apartment. The location of the apartment is in a very safe and secure setting. The best part of our experience was meeting the adelizzi's--they were so kind and hospitable that we felt as though we were visiting family. We hated to leave and will certainly go back. There is not one thing that I can think of that would have made our stay any better. It was perfect in every way. We cannot thank the adelizzi family enough for their wonderful hospitality. If there were a higher rating than five stars they would certainly get that rating from me.
Superb view, excellent location and most welcoming owners ! We had an unforgettable stay in Sorrento attico apartment and look forward to return soon
