A DELIGHTFUL WAY TO STAY AND PLAY IN PARADISE

Casa Diane is a stunning two-bedroom, two-bath oceanfront condo in the elegant Cantamar community.

Just a short walk from downtown and the oceanfront promenade, Casa Diane is in the middle of the action but entirely private once you step through the front doors of the complex and your own little slice of paradise.

This air-conditioned unit has an open-concept floor plan, which brings the living, dining, and kitchen areas into view and invites easy conversation no matter where you are in the residence.

The sunken living room is bright and beautiful—the tropics are well represented in artwork and décor throughout Casa Diane. There’s a beautiful sliding glass door that leads to your private balcony, where you have breathtaking views of the white-sand beach (reserved exclusively for guests and residents of Cantamar), magnificent infinity pool, and the turquoise waters of the Caribbean.

The master bedroom is rich, tropical and inviting, with its queen-sized bed, in-room Jacuzzi, beautifully appointed attached bath, and private balcony that offers panoramic vistas of the ocean.

The second bedroom is equally bright and comfortable, and it features two full-size beds to accommodate guests or kids. It too has a full bathroom with modern touches and plenty of counter and storage space. In both bathrooms, beach towels, and hair dryers are provided to make your stay effortless.

The living area is full of vibrant colors and comfortable furniture and includes a flat-screen TV with plenty of English channels in its lineup. There’s also a DVD player. Free Wi-Fi is included and there’s an iPod docking station if you need it.

The balcony is an exceptional place to bask in the sun and soak in the views. The plush lounge chairs, along with the dining table and chairs, makes it an appealing option for dining outdoors or enjoying a Tequila Sunrise at sunset, with the gentle ocean breezes and the soothing sound of ocean surf.

When you’re ready to mix and mingle, head down to the private pool and beach area. The infinity pool is sparkling clean and very refreshing in the heat of the day. There’s a shallow end for the little ones, and the pool sits on the man-made beach. Steps leading down to a lagoon-like part of the ocean are there for you to use to take a dip or do a little snorkeling.

Because you’re just steps away from the bustling Cozumel main street, there’s plenty to do when you want to liven things up. There are more bars and restaurants than you can count, Mexican vendors with their hand-made offerings, jewelry and high-end clothing stores, duty-free shops, and tourists from around the world.

It’s also where many of the cruise ships disembark and where the ferry boat terminal makes regular trips to and from nearby Playa del Carmen. You can walk up to any one of dozens of SCUBA and snorkeling centers and book a guided underwater tour of the famed reef system of Cozumel and come mask-to-face with brightly colored fish, maybe a nurse shark or two, barracudas, sea turtles, along with the teeming life found on the coral itself.
