Casa Mare is owned by English residents in Italy who are now making their spacious, well-equipped home available for your exclusive use. Just 30 metres from the Adriatic Sea, with a 12x6m solar private, heated swimming pool, air-conditioning, free Wifi internet and all the comforts of home (including cats) all in the Salento, the heart of Puglia.

Casa Mare is ideally located both to relax and to explore Salento and other parts of Puglia. Discover the warmth of the mezzogiorno, both the climate and the people. Explore the local markets, experience the freshest produce and local specialities, the excellence of the local cuisine and wine. A welcome basket awaits your arrival, complete with local delicacies, wine and so much more. Check in time 16:00, check out time 10:00. If there are no guests departing/arriving on your arrival/departure dates we can be flexible on check-in and check-out times. Please confirm with us for the possibility of variations to check-in and check-out times.Early arrivals and late departures are charged at 10 euro per hour or part hour.

Owners/caretakers are on the property in a separate self-contained apartment - we are available on request to help make your holiday special.

Airconditioned three-bedroom villa. Large spacious rooms all fully equipped to a high standard.

The living room has sea views and is equipped with large flat screen tv and entertainment centre, a media server with a selection of films/tv series. An extensive range of DVDs and English books are available, as well as board games and jigsaw puzzles.

The two spacious master bedrooms each have a large matrimonial bed, one also has an extra single bed. The other has an ensuite bathroom, and a super king bed can be split into twin beds if required. The third bedroom is a full-size double room has a standard double bed and an extra single bed. All bedrooms have ample storage space and are equipped with hairdryers. Bed linen is provided. If your stay is for two weeks or longer a change of bed linen is provided at the beginning of each full week. One bath, hand and beach towel is provided for each guest. Baby cots, linen and high-chair available on request.

The full-size kitchen is fully equipped with everything a keen cook requires.

Note: There is a shower room outside near the pool.

The 12-metre x 6-metre solar heated swimming pool, for your exclusive use, is cleaned and maintained daily. Ample sun loungers and other garden/patio furniture available. We provide lilos and other pool toys too. Beach chairs and sun umbrella that can be taken on beach trips are also provided.

The outside verandah looks out over the lawn, patios and pool and has sea views. Perfect for alfresco dining. There is an additional al-fresco eating area with large marble table under a leafy arbour, perfect for long lunches.

“Perfect holiday home”

“Wow late Spring in Puglia - gorgeous!”

As returning visitors we knew we would have a great experience, lovely welcome basket, great hosting etc an absolute given. It is all the extra touches we noticed, every year our hosts Debbie and Bob have done more to the property and we get to try out new experiences for them to recommend to their guests. The villa is looking fabulous - the pool excellent as always. The local area is undergoing some improvements too with a new pathway to Lendinuso which was just setting itself up for the year. The wild flowers are stunning at the moment and the hubbub of the new season not really underway on the coast, although Lecce was already very busy! We had a great lunch with a local chef in his own home talking about the food and wines of the area and it is the perfect time to travel on quiet roads around the small coastal towns and markets.

Response from the owner We are sorry that these guests did not enjoy their stay here. We do make it clear that there are cats here; we cross link to the Casa Mare cats Facebook page which shows all the cats that either live here our visit here. Most of the time there are very few cats around in the summer as they most mainly only visit when they need feeding, in the off season when there are no other people in the area. We were here at the time that the guests were here and they did not once mention they had a problem with the cats. If they had we would have done what we could to mitigate any disappointment, or impact of the cats. We have had many guests here over the last 7 or 8 years, including those who have cat allergies, and they have all been happy with the facilities provided and the presence of the cats. It is a shame that the guests were disappointed with their holiday; had they spoken to us we could have offered them alternative accommodation or found another way to ameliorate their disappointment.

Response from the owner It was unfortunate that the heat exchanger failed just as the guests arrived. The temperature of the pool water was 28+ and we put the pool cover on every night to help keep it up as much as possible. The heat exchanger was replaced as soon as we could get delivery of a new one and all is now back to normal.
