Within an unspoiled village on the south-west coast Sungai Jungle Villa II (previously Sungai Gold) is a distinguished luxury villa with the sophistication, inclusions and full service of the finest hotel, but with privacy and the exclusivity of a private residence. The service begins the moment you step off the plane with the VIP airport butler service and the chauffeured transfers that whisk you to the villa where the chefs and staff are dedicated to you alone.

At 'Jungle House II', it is all off-white floors, white walls, white-washed majestic pavilions, carved teak gateways and khaki furnishing: the sort of drop-dead-swish place that makes one want to rush out and buy a white bikini. Through the use of glass walls the distinction fades between interiors and exteriors, with floor-to-ceiling glass doors that slide aside to give access to the dining/leisure pavilion with its blissful king daybed overlooking the river and pool, and 4 pool loungers on the 2 terraces. Designed to be the ultimate getaway, Sungai's Jungle Villa II takes relaxation to the extreme. Seek solitude in pristine privacy or invite the cool crowd over for some serious entertaining: the possibilities are endless. Here, as at the flagship Sungai Jungle Villa I, discretion, care and immaculate service are the passwords.

The complimentary airport/hotel transfers, chauffeured car (at cost), chefs, maids, butler, waiters and masseuses are all standard. Beauty treatments are provided in-house by visiting therapists so you never have to leave your sumptuous surroundings. It is the most desirable destination and the ultimate escape. It specialises in exclusivity, luxury and unparalleled pampering.

UPDATE: there are now three guest suites with inter-connectability between the master suite and bedroom 2 (a king plus a king single) for young families. The third bedroom has a huge king bed with ensuite indoor/outdoor bathroom. In spite of the increase in number of bedrooms the couples' rate (with total exclusivity of the entire villa) has not been increased. Spa treatments for couples bookings are conducted in Bedroom 3.

Getting around

The villa comes with a car and driver that is dedicated to you. Transfers from the airport or hotel are provided each way (one 7-seater vehicle) FOC. Subsequent car use is charged at USD35 per day for up to 8 hours and then USD30 per hour thereafter (USD50 per day for ad hoc bookings). Guests can arrange scooters, however, most guests take advantage of having their chauffeur for all their touring/sightseeing/dining out/ shopping trips. You will get to know your driver well ecause they are on staff, not contracted out like at resorts.

Interaction with guest

From the minute of first enquiry the owner will handle your booking. You will be sent an electronic booking form to complete so that the villa manager and his team understand as much about what you wish to achieve prior to your arrival so as to minimise time wasted on planning that could have been done prior to check-in. The guest services manager MADE takes over from the owner as he meets the guests at the airport or other hotel and will act as concierge to help with planning for the entire visit. You will experience the inclusions and service of a high-end resort but with total privacy. Whether you book 1 or all 3 guest rooms the entire property is all yours to enjoy without strangers.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If Pamela (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
