Description

Come stay and relax at this quiet retreat. This listing is a newly remodeled home which is tastefully decorated. There are three color themed bedroom's; which have two queens and two twin sized beds. There is serenity all around you, come sit on the screened in porch and relax while listening to the wildlife. This home has many amenities including; Cable TV, high speed Internet, a Wii, foosball table, electric fireplace, washer ,dryer, and a charcoal grill. This home has a nice sized yard for the kids to play . While being hidden away this home is in walking distance to the movie theater (come see Misty of Chincoteague's hoof print and statue), cafes/ restaurants, artistic shops, bicycle rentals and the quaint main street. Walk to the world famous Chincoteague fireman's carnival.This beautiful home is located at the end of a cul-de-sac. Bayside Retreat is just a short drive to the National Wildlife Refuge. Drive through the refuge to get a peek at the famous Wild chincoteague ponies and the beach.

Response from the owner Thank you for your feedback. This is a house not a hotel. There is great value in staying ,as in your case two hotel rooms would have been necessary with an au pair(nanny) in tow. Unfortunately we need to rely on people for housekeeping and maitnanance. Both are extremely hard to find on the island. Many things have been addressed such as the light in the kitchen that was slow to turn on,one of the issues you asked about. Spiders outside are out of our control. There is water damage in the shower.There is no mold. The previous owner used board paneling in the shower. What the guest thinks is mold is actually wood. This guest did email me and I did respond to her to offer housekeeping to return as they may have done a poor job. The guest didn't respond to my email. Therefore no chance was given to remedy the situation. We strive to make the house as clean and comfortable as possible. Damages may occur from guests especially during the busy summer season. At these times it is difficult to address. I am sorry for the experience that you had as we strive to have every guest happy.
