Description
We are delighted to offer you 'a place to call your own', as you explore France's most famous wine country. If you are visiting Burgundy for all it has to offer, why not stay in the center of it all? 3 Clos de Pommard is located on the 'Route des Grands Crus' the famous, picturesque wine route that runs through the Cote d'Or. Walk out the front door and you are only steps from Pommard's 50+ vintners. Walk out the back and visit the famous Chateau de Pommard. Set off on walking/biking paths through the vineyards for visits to Volnay and Meursault. The historic town of Beaune, with it's rich cultural life, restaurants, and vibrant Saturday market, is a 5 minute drive north. Location, location, location!
Our modern ground floor apartment - 2 bedrooms and 1.5 bathrooms - is located in a beautifully renovated 17th century carriage inn, located in the heart of the village and just three kilometers from Beaune. A stay in our apartment, with the boulangerie (bakery), café, wine bar, bistro, and three restaurants literally steps from the front door, offers a true taste of Burgundian village life. Just two hours from Paris by train, this location is a perfect vacation destination for lovers of wine and the beautiful countryside in which it is produced. And because of proximity to the train station in Beaune (2 miles) and the autoroute (2 miles), Pommard provides an ideal base from which to explore other parts of France and Europe.
Bedrooms:
Both bedrooms feature original 16th century beamed ceilings, comfortable queen-sized beds, and ample storage for clothing. Custom-designed, sound-proofed windows ensure your tranquility and a good night's sleep.
Bathrooms:
The modern, spacious main bathroom includes a shower/tub combination, sink with vanity, and toilet. Storage baskets and a hairdryer are provided. An additional half bath, with 2nd toilet and small sink, provides a little extra comfort and privacy.
Kitchen:
The kitchen is fully-appointed with oven, range, microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher, washer/dryer, and a breakfast bar perfectly suited to enjoying your morning coffee and croissants. We are proudly equipped with cooking equipment fit for a chef.
Living Room:
The comfortable great room includes a flat screen TV (French & English channels), stereo, DVD & CD players. After a day of wine tasting or sightseeing you can relax with an assortment of movies, both current and classic. The dining table seats six.
Utility Room:
Everything extra you may need to make your stay comfortable can be found here: Ironing board and iron, extra cleaning supplies, recycling bin, etc.
Outside Space:
Our small internal courtyard, located just off the main room, is equipped with an outdoor table and six chairs, providing a lovely place to enjoy your morning coffee or a glass of wine during pleasant weather. Additionally, just off of the gated parking area is a small garden that is shared by the other residents of Le Clos de Pommard. And, for those who would enjoy a stroll in a more formal setting, the Chateau de Pommard gardens are located just on the other side of Rue des Jardins!
Parking:
The main entrance is just steps from the private gated parking area, with reserved space for one car. Guests may park additional cars close by in the nearby town square.
Cleaning/Towels/Linen/Maid service:
One set of bed linens and bath towels are provided for you, as well as end-of-stay cleaning. For guests staying for two or more weeks, cleaning and fresh linens are provided at the end of each week.
Accessibility
While not formally designated as “handicapped accessible,” this apartment is all on the ground floor when using the front street entrance. The open floor plan provides ease of access for those who may require the assistance of a walker or other mobility devices.

“Charming Accommodation Great Location”
The best of a quiet village only a walk or short drive from Beaune. Everything we required and more was available in the townhouse. The village of Pommard has a fabulous bakery, wineries and restaurants with enchanting walks around the village itself offering views to Beaune, vineyards, farms, beautiful rolling hills and beyond. If you desire a quiet and relaxing stay this destination is it.
