Description

Wyckhams Lodge is set in the beautiful grounds of approx. 0.75 acres of a typical 300 year old Cotswold house. It is an extremely well equipped, high quality, chalet-style, self-catering haven with its own private entrance. It is an ideal retreat after a busy day's touring or just a peaceful "get-away" to relax and recharge the batteries.

The Lodge is on one level and you enter in to the main room, which consists of an extremely well equipped kitchen area and dining/sitting area. There are wonderful views over the beautiful garden and out over the valley. There is a double bedroom and en-suite shower room, also completed to a very high standard. Guest have described the Lodge as "extremely cosy" and very tranquil. Outside, there is a patio area with table and chairs.Guests are most welcome to make use of our beautiful garden.

We are ideally situated in the Cotswolds for exploring the area and are fortunate to be near many very good pubs and amenities.

Getting around

For the most part, a car is essential. However, there are local taxis and a regular bus from outside the local pub to Stroud. Buses to Cirencester are less frequent and run from the bus stop at the bottom of the hill. It is a walker's paradise and a good work out for cyclists

Interaction with guest

The Lodge is completely self-contained within the beautiful garden here. On arrival, we do like to meet and greet guests and introduce ourselves. We will show guests to the Lodge, give a very brief introduction and help with any queries guests might have. We will then hand over the keys and leave guests in peace for the duration of their holiday. We remain available if required for any reason, but totally discreet and we will never intrude on our guests at all. We want guests to enjoy their holiday in peace, in the beautiful surroundings.

“Fantastic Stay, well recomended”

Needless to say me and my wife were very happy and impressed by our stay in this lodge! To start it off, Hosts were amazing, there was nothing of trouble. Always there for any help. And very welcoming, which we really appreciated. Then the Garden was beautiful and well kept. Really hearing the birds chirping and singing away throughout the day, that is to assume that you come in the spring time or other dry days. Kitchen,toilet and equipment that you will ever need for your holiday are here. Everything is well thought out. Coffee, tea, condiments and cutlery are all washed and cleaned and is just very welcoming. The room is well decorated and is just very comforting. Location wise, it is a very good place to use as a base for any travels in or around Cotswold. It is kind of mid Cotswold, so going north and south is such a breeze. I do recommend having a car for this lodge however, since as the address state, they are pretty much in a hill. Anyway, I can not recommend this place enough, if you are thinking of going to Cotswolds, give this place a try. It is a MUST. Thank you for having us!

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

How do I make changes to my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your booking page. To change your dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Silke/Geoff (the owner) a message.

If Silke/Geoff (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
