This traditional alpine farmhouse is surrounded by beautiful mountains and magnificent scenery. It has been extended and modernised to provide basic but comfortable accommodation in a very peaceful setting. For winter skiing, there is access to 600 kilometres of pistes in the Portes du Soleil area and some smaller local ski resorts. It takes about 15-20 minutes to drive to the main ski lifts.

The large kitchen has modern fitted cupboards, tiled worktops, gas hob with cooker hood, electric built in fan oven/grill, microwave, toaster, kettle, coffee maker, dishwasher and large fridge with freezer compartment. There is a separate area containing washing machine and ironing facilities. There is a fully equipped bathroom upstairs with tiled floor, bath, basin and wc, with a second wc downstairs and a separate adjacent shower room with large walk-in shower and wash basin.

Getting around

You really do need a car as the location is very rural, though not really isolated. There are no shops in the village so you to drive for basic shopping, though it is possible to walk/run the 3km across the valley to Le Biot (it is double the distance by road). A car is essential to make the most of your visit to this outstandingly beautiful area.

“Great stay in rustic farmhouse with plenty of room”

Reviewed 28 Feb 2017

We had a great stay end of February and everything was as described. We had plenty of room to spread out in the farmhouse in a small hamlet on the mountainside . We enjoyed our stay and everything was as described by the owner and we enjoyed returning to a nice warm house every day. We will definitely return

Good enough chalet in very nice surroundings in typical French hamlet. Needs bigger beds to accommodate most guests, though. Rooms are adequate but sparsely furnished.

“A well equipped chalet situated in a rural setting with superb views”

Reviewed 11 Oct 2012

The chalet is well situated for those who enjoy being in a quiet hamlet while being central enough to enjoy the mountains and sight seeing via a short car journey. The views from the front door are superb! It was great to be able to go for a long walk on sign posted trails directly behind the chalet, though the first hour was steep walking! We were content to stay in the valley for the most part except for 2 or 3 days were we ventured further afield. We enjoyed another walk to the top of another alp and with fleeting cloudy views of Mt Blanc in the distance. We visited the same "hill" two days later from the other side but this time we "cheated" by taking the cable car & chair lift! Mt Blanc was visible this time! The weather was very hot for the first seven days thought the chalet was pleasantly cool. The hot weather meant that the children enjoyed swimming in Lac Montriond (10 mins approx from Morzine) and Lake Geneva. The journey from Calais to Geneva via motorways was easy driving. The ten days passed quickly and the whole family had an enjoyable time.

“Great place”

Reviewed 19 Jun 2012

2 adults and four teenagers stayed at this house for a weeks skiing. The house was ideal and the location was close to the slopes. Peter was a great host and everything went smoothly despite some extreme temperatures. The house was kitted out as you would expect.
