Description
Exeter Cottage is a charming 17th Century cottage in a quiet courtyard right in the centre of Topsham. Renovated to a high standard Exeter Cottage offers an unbeatable location for exploring Exeter and South Devon. The cottage has plenty of charm and character and is just yards away from many restaurants, pubs and quaint cafes.Exeter Cottage offers many creature comforts including central heating and its own parking space. It is located, just off the High Street and only 300 meters from the waterfront. The courtyard contains a restored wash-house and is included in Topsham's historic trail. The cottage is of historic interest having been owned by the Coysh family until early 1900's. Thomas Henry Coysh served alongside Nelson at the Battle of Trafalgar.The cottage benefits from a very comfortable lounge area, complete with wood burning fire, good sized kitchen with breakfast bar. The bathroom is downstairs. Upstairs there is a bedroom with a double bed and the second bedroom which has bunk beds.We provide lots of entertainment including DVD's for all ages, books, board games and some childrens toys.The parking space is suitable for up-to a medium sized car like an Escort, Astra etc. The largest car we got in there was a Vauxhaull Zafira. The bunk room is most suitable for children or smaller adults; these beds are normal length but slightly narrower than a standard single (they are 2ft 6'' wide).

“Topsham home away from home”

Response from the owner Thanks for your great review glad and your parking tips! Small/medium cars are fine, but alternatively the parking by the station is very reasonable (currently £2.30 per day), and very close to the cottage.

“Perfect holiday cottage”
Good location in the centre of delightful Topsham. Parking for small cars only! Cottage ideal for a couple with accommodation for two children in bunk beds as well. Cosy and comfortable.

Lovely place, lovely cottage. Very central! Topsham is a great spot, with easy access by car, boat or train to lots of other nice spots. The cottage is really easy to get to and very central.

“comfortable and great location”
parking space will only fit a small car and make sure you reverse in. Very close to all the amenities inc local transport - take the train to Exeter and beyond, all of Devon for £10.

Response from the owner The largest car we have parked in the parking place is our own Vauxhall Zafira. However, it does depend on your ability to maneuver your car in small spaces. We recommend it is suitable for 'medium sized' cars like a Ford Focus and, yes it is easier to reverse in.
