“Beautiful and cozy”

Reviewed 21 May 2018

The Cottage is our favorite retreat in Britain. Clean, cozy, friendliest staff, everything’s provided - even a BBQ place. Great for families or groups. Will keep coming back. The only thing un-English are the water-tabs - hot and cold as mixable as everywhere outside the empire. Much appreciated!

“Always a pleasure”

A perfect nest for every season. Superb for self catering and BBQ too. Space for at least two cars right in front. Beautiful garden with quite a view. A+

“Fabulous location, great house”

Reviewed 13 Jul 2016

This cottage was ideal for our family of four. It was bigger than we had imagined since the owner’s description does not make it clear that this cottage is detached. We really benefitted from the extra space and the large garden. We ate out on the large patio area a number of times listening to the birds in the trees. The view out over the valley onto Blakeney Hill is just gorgeous. The house is on a tiny narrow road with almost no traffic on it – mostly locals walking dogs and horses rather than cars. The house is well equipped with dishwasher, washing machine, freezer and microwave and wifi that actually worked! The location was perfect for us with the forest on our doorstep but still easy access to the shops in Lydney
