“The Palms Villa” is a modern 3 bedroom luxury villa directly on the Indian Ocean built less than four years ago. The golden sandy beach is just a few steps from your front door. The beach is clean, wide and secluded. Any time of day you most likely will be the only one on this beautiful beach. The views of the Indian ocean are just magnificent. Sri Lanka has been called the “Pearl of the Indian Ocean”, for good reason, this is a beautiful island paradise.

The spacious villa has a modern large open floor plan. Fantastic exotic wood work throughout. Glass across the entire front of the villa lead you out to a wide shaded patio perfect for enjoying the cooling effects of the ocean. Truly seamless indoor/outdoor living, you are guaranteed to be comfortable sitting here enjoying this picturesque view.

'The Palms Villa' can accommodate a party of up to 6 people in 3 large bedrooms. We provide bed linen and towels and can supply a cot, as well, if necessary. Wi-Fi internet access is available throughout the beach house. We also have a generator to insure no electrical interruptions.

Full kitchen, well equipped with all the utensils and appliances needed to cook your own meals.

Additional amenities include: Large private swimming pool, private garden, beach towels, linens, 3 air conditioned bedrooms, insuite bathrooms, safe, beach and pool chairs, patio deck, 3 custom made king beds (7 feet long), all of which can be separated into 6 twins, local professional and experienced management, Professional 24 hour security, full time caretaker / pool man. Getting around

A car is not needed. There are many choices for public transportation. Buses, trains, tuk tuks, and taxis are very close. We also can provide a 15 passenger van and a professional driver for site seeing and tours. If you have your own transportation private secure parking large enough for 3 cars is included in the daily rate.

We have a full time professional manager that is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week for any thing you may need or to offer advice and answer questions.

Response from the owner Thank you for the mostly positive review. We take all reviews seriously and appreciate constructive reviews. I would like to address some of your concerns. Out of the hundreds of guests we have hosted, several have voiced concerns about the small amount of noise from Galle Road. We strive for perfection, in addition to the large amount of money spent on acoustical engineers during construction of "The Palms Villa", we are always improving the villa. We will begin installing sound proof windows in the near future. We are also working with the local government to encourage all drivers to refrain from using their horns. We have had some success, the government has declared one recent day "silence day". There are many restaurants very close to the villa, several are less than a 10 minute walk, plus many more less than a 10 minute tuk tuk ride. The beach is very secluded and private, if guests seek beach bars and beach restaurants, all they have to do is take a short car ride to Hikkaduwa ($5 USD one way, .50 cents by bus). All our linen, beach towels, furniture and kitchen appliances are continuously upgraded and replaced when necessary. There is no tile in the villa, but polished concrete, which is always thoroughly cleaned. We adjust our prices through research provided by a major online booking site to insure we are always well below the medium, providing excellent value for all our guests..

Response from the owner Hikkaduwa is less that a 15 minute drive from the villa, we use this address to give our potential guests an idea where the villa is located. All our correspondence with the guests provides our exact location. The villa was custom built to our specifications with special emphasis and cost paid to eliminating any road noise, heavy duty windows, concrete and block construction, lower eaves on the roof and a high concrete wall on three sides of the villa. The open shower in the master bath is an amazing feature that allows lots of light into that area and a great feeling seeing the sky above you while you shower in privacy. All the bathroom doors are constructed of heavy solid wood, the way to eliminate the small amount of noise that may infiltrate the master bath is to close the bathroom door. Many guests have remarked that there is very little road noise at night. We provide light housekeeping every day for our guests at no additional costs, who sweep all the floors and straighten up around the villa. In addition we provide at no additional charge a full time pool/yard man who cleans the pool and exterior of the building everyday, in addition to helping with guests requests. We have all new linens and towels and new sun loungers are arriving any day.

We do have a large built in generator available for when the power goes out for any reason, I'm sorry for the lack of communication between you and Udi, our on site manager. We have just replaced all the towels and linens. There are two full service restaurants within a 5 minute walk. We are happy to deliver food to the villa when ordered off our menu.
