Description

Villa Perit is located on the south coast of Sri Lanka, about 1,5 km from the little town Ahangama. The house has been built in 2009, into a little village, five minutes walk from the main road and the beautiful, peaceful beach. From this place there is 140km to Colombo, and 170km to the airport. The closest bigger, historically famous city, Galle, is 17km from here. In this area, the water of the Indian Ocean is very clean and clear. This is also a place of the dreams for those who like surfing.

You can walk to the beach on the little village road surrounded by local houses, palm trees and other tropical plants. On the way to the beach as well as all around, you can see leguans, lizards, monkeys, many beautiful birds etc. Of course you will meet also dogs, cats, cows and other village animals. People in the surrounding houses are very kind and are greeting us foreigners with a beautiful smile.

Our house has been built for us, two Finns, as our home. Anyhow we are not staying here all the year. That´s why we rent this house for the time we are not here. We have a beautiful garden with many blooming trees and flowers around the house. In our garden there are also growing many fruit trees, like papaya-, mango-, banana-, guava-, rose apple etc. Our guests can enjoy the delicious fruits.

We have a full time guard/gardener/cleaner for our house. He is a very trustful man, always ready to serve and help you. His good helpers in guarding the house are our dogs Badi and Bella.

If you like to make the meals by yourself, we have a good western kitchen. Our neighbor can also prepare delicious Sri Lankan food just for a little money. You can use the restaurants in the neighborhood, too. Two of them are just 5-10 minutes walk away by the beach. Food in the restaurants is very good and not expensive.

If you want to go a little bit more around, you can use a local specialty tuk-tuk, the three wheel vehicle. You can get three people sitting in tuk-tuk. Our guard will call it whenever needed. For the longer trips you can use the van. When ordered beforehand, the driver will come to fetch you. The owner of the van can speak English. He has got many kinds of packages for traveling and seeing the beautiful Sri Lanka.

We ask our guests to respect our home and keep the house clean. Smoking inside the house is strictly forbidden.

Villa Perit is good for 1-4 persons. Downstairs this two-storey house has got living area with an open plan kitchen. Upstairs there is one bedroom with a double bed. In the upstairs living area there is an alcove with another double bed. In the house there are two bathrooms, one with a shower and one with a washing machine. There is also a shower room in the garden which is very convenient when coming from the beach.

Facilities include linen, towels, ironing equipment, coffee maker, microwave as well as other cooking necessities. There are fans in every room also in the terrace and balcony. In addition you can find an air conditioner in the bedroom. If you would like to use it, please let us know beforehand. We ask you to pay 50 euros per week for using the air conditioner, because electricity is very expensive in Sri Lanka.
