Casa da Vigia situated in the Parque Natural da Serra de São Mamede, at 700m altitude, deployed the hillside, one of the most important nature reserves Portuguese Natura 2000, with a magnificent view over the northern lands of Alentejo.
Situated in a quiet area where you can wake up to the chirping of birds and fall asleep with a perfect symphony of crickets and cicadas.
A harmony between the green of the garden and mounted cork, invites quiet bird watching or reading a good book in the natural pool, surrounded by vegetation and fauna, with a mild temperature to savor the aromas or listening to the silence of the stars .

“Lovely holiday rental property”
We had a great week at Casa da Vigia. The property was in a nice peaceful setting, but within a 5 minute walk of a small village. The pool and the garden (which had plenty of welcoming shade) were enjoyed by all the family. Great views from the terrace and the lack of light pollution made for good stargazing. The house was quite well equipped, and though it does have a dishwasher, it does not have a washing machine for doing laundry. Good wifi was also appreciated by the teenage kids. The local area has plenty of interesting places to visit, very good and reasonable restaurants, and an almost total lack of other tourists. The view from the top of Marvao castle is sufficient reason alone to visit this area. I thoroughly recommend a visit to Casa da Vigia.
