Description

Maison Marguerite is a lovely house in the centre of Bozel with room for 4 adults and 2 children. Bozel is situated very close to the slopes of Courchevel in the Trois Vallees and for Champagny for access to Le Plagne and the vast Paradiski ski area. Both are within 13 minutes drive. Ideally placed for the Trois Vallees there is a regular ski bus from Bozel to Courchevel Le Praz where the new 6 person chairlift 'Le Foret' is now operating. This provides easy and speedy access to both the Courchevel and Meribel valleys. There is ample free parking in Le Praz as well as ski lockers. If you fancy skiing in a different area you can drive to Champagny-en-Vanoise only 6km away where there is a lift to the main ski area. A further alternative is to explore the Nordic skiing at Pralognan-en-Vanoise which also has a few lifts too. Depending on snow conditions it is possible to ski, without stopping, from the top of Saulire down to the bottom of the valley and Bozel at 900m (a drop of nearly 2km!).

Bozel is busy throughout the year. In summer, you can enjoy the lake in Bozel as well as a wide variety of outdoor pursuits including rafting, Via Ferrata, canyoning, VTT and the many local outdoor swimming pools as well as walking in the spectacular Vanoise National Park, just up the road. Bozel has a range of shops including a butcher, two boulangeries, two small supermarkets and several bars and restaurants within 3 minutes walk of the house. There are two large supermarkets in Moutiers (15 minutes away).

Maison Marguerite has 3 big bedrooms and an open plan kitchen-dining room. The sitting room has a wood burning stove and large sofa - wood is provided. There is one bathroom (with toilet) and an additional toilet downstairs. The kitchen has all the usual equipment and appliances and there is a washer and dryer for clothes in the utility room. The large shed will hold your skis (unless you have, or hire, a ski rack for your car which is always very handy). In the summer, our flat garden is great for football and table tennis; in winter, for snowmen and igloo building.

The house is ideally suited for a family. If your children are young, they will enjoy the space - the house has approx 120m2 of habitable space - and the garden. A car is the most convenient way to drive to the slopes but, if you have teenagers, or people in the party who like to be independent, then the flexibility of the ski bus from Bozel to Courchevel Le Praz is very handy too. The ski bus leaves from the High Street (3 min walk) up to Le Praz. There are connecting buses to La Tania and Courchevel 1550 and higher. Parking is free in Courchevel Le Praz while in 1550, 1650 and 1850 there are covered car parks with an hourly charge. Parking is easy in our drive which is big enough for two cars.

We are happy to consider alternative changeover days and split weeks. Please note, Holiday Lettings will add, like most booking sites, approximately 10% to the price.
