“The Contact person was 30 minutes away. What could possibly go wrong other than everything.”

I should have cancelled the moment I was told about the contact issue. My mistake. TripAdvisor is down in my estimation. Fortunately Modhotel was next door so I was not left out in the cold.

Response from the owner Hi Don. Sorry to read that you had a bad experience. Unfortunately you didn't confirm the changes that you requested on the dates of the reservation. That's why we were expecting you on February 4th (the original check in date) but you just showed up on February 3rd. Also you didn't read or reply the messages that I've sent you through Tripadvisor and via email asking you to coordinate your arrival with my property manager. You never replied or contacted us before arriving. Given the fact that is not a hotel it was neccesary to coordinate with us your check-in time and of course to reconfirm the date. We never had a situation like this with hundreds of guests we have hosted. We were trying to contact you to check you in after reading your message but you were not available We also asked if you wanted to continue with the original reservation dates. You decided to stay at the Mod hotel. Glad you found a room there. By the way... the temperature on February 4th in Mendoza at that time of the day was around 28 centigrades (82 Farenheit). it was not cold at all. Best. Carlos

First of all, the shower room/toilet is exactly as appear on pictures: small, but nobody complained about it before. You were the guest # 43 (the property is announced in other similar sites). You are right, 2 large and 1 small towels for 4 days is not good enough. Sorry about that. Thanks for letting me know about the stains on the brown pillows. I will talk to my administrator about these 2 issues.. Again, nobody complained before about mattress and bed pillows…but I'll consider your comment. Unfortunately you already gave us 3 stars and this cannot be undone.
