Charming, nicely decorated, house with private garden facing a vineyard, sleeps 5, with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and wifi. Perfect for a family holiday to unwind but still close to several charming villages, cultural attractions and a range of beautiful beaches. Set in a small village, 2 km from Mafra, 7km from Ericeira, 30 min. from Lisbon.The house blends perfectly in the landscape because of the local natural materials used. The sunny living/dining room with fireplace has french doors that give access to a south facing terrace and a cosy, enclosed garden. Perfect for reading a book, sipping a glass of wine or al fresco dinning. Weber barbecue (charcoal) available. The house has a livingroom, 3 bedrooms (one with balcony/veranda), 2 bathrooms and a kitchen. A cot and high chair are available upon request. The surroundings are very quiet (dead-end street) time). You can park in front of the house (space for 2 cars) or on the drive (space for 1 car).The nearest beach is Foz do Lizandro (6 km) - one of the nicest beaches with convenient facilities in the surroundings of Lisbon. Horse riding is possible (at only 1,4km) swimming pool (3km: indoor and outdoor pool) and several outstanding golf courses are within a 30 min drive. Although in rural settings, the house is very conveniently located at 30 minutes from Lisbon and the airport, just 2 km from Mafra (good pastry!) with its sumptuous Mafra Palace, Convent and Basilica - one of Portugal's 7 wonders and the inspiration for a novel of the Portuguese nobel price winner -, 7 km from World Surf Reserve and fisherman's village Ericeira, also known for the quality of its delicious fish and shellfish, and 20 km from the UNESCO World Heritage Monuments of Sintra. The medieval walled town of Óbidos and the monasteries of Alcobaça and Batalha, both Unesco sites, are also easy to reach and form interesting daytrips.
