Apartment for 4 people, 1 bedrooms, 1 sofa bed, the apartment is on the third floor in a small building to pieces, is about 45 m2, consisting of a bedroom window overlooking Lake with double bed with orthopaedic mattress and beds with staves, a large wardrobe and bedside tables.

The living room has a sofa bed, Cabinet with digital TV, kitchenette with full kitchen with furniture and cupboards, Cooktop with electronic ignition, hood with light and gas refrigerator top freezer eject, sink with two-hole mixer, table and 4 chairs.

The large balcony with chairs and outdoor table with partial lake view.

“Great vacation”

Cozy and well-kept apartment and close to all amenities without using the car. Lakefront with a beautiful beach, The owner, very friendly and helpful to our requests. We will definitely be back.

“Good enough - but has the potential to be excellent!”

We stayed in this apartment for a week at the beginning of September and it was okay, but with a bit of time and not very much expense on the part of the owner it has the potential to be really fabulous. I'll start with the positives - for two people it is a spacious apartment, very light and modern with a pleasant balcony where we spent several convivial evenings. The shower was good, powerful with plenty of hot water and the king-sized bed was very comfortable. There are two supermarkets within a five minute walk so there was no difficulty getting groceries, even on a Sunday and up until 8 pm. The apartment was a good 30 minutes walk from Desenzano, but only two minutes from Rivoltella which was a nice little place and we had several meals there. Desenzano is the main place which you need to access in order to explore Lake Garda if you don't have a car as all the boats leave from there. Now, the not so good things. This is definitely an apartment - not a townhouse! It is on the third floor and there is no lift. We struggled a bit with heavy cases so unless you are fit and healthy or have very little luggage this apartment is not for you! The view of the lake is from the bedroom, the balcony looks over the street, although you can see the mountains in the distance. The kitchen wasn't very well equipped, no microwave and when we arrived there was no kettle. We asked the owner to provide one, which she did on the following day, so we could have cups of tea without boiling water in a saucepan! The door handles on the fridge and freezer had broken so it was very tricky to open them - this needs attending to. We had specifically selected an apartment with a washing machine, and there was a very small washing machine in the bathroom, but it wasn't working properly and the spin mechanism had broken - so this really needs to be repaired or replaced. There is only one bathroom, not two as stated in the advert. It was fine but of the three lights in there only one was working so it was very poorly lit. The wifi was very unreliable with a poor signal. We ended up having to use the data allowance on our phones. It was a shame because we couldn't stream movies on our iPads. We arrived in really hot weather - about 32 degrees - and the apartment was very hot. We spent a very uncomfortable first night as there is no air conditioning and there was no fan in the apartment. We contacted the owner the next day and she brought round a fan for us, but this should have been there in the first instance. The owner was very nice but communication was difficult and we were reliant on "Google translate" - I think if she were to stay in the apartment herself for a few days she would understand that with a little care and attention this could be an excellent holiday apartment. Also, it would be nice if a few of the basics had been in the apartment when we arrived (as is usually the case with places we have rented through Holiday Lettings) such as toilet paper, tea and coffee etc. There was literally nothing so we had to go out to the supermarket immediately. I hope this review doesn't come across as too critical because we actually had a lovely holiday and Lake Garda is amazing, but the apartment really does need a little attention!
