Description

HIGH OAK HOUSE is a second-floor apartment situated in central Ashburton - a stone's throw away from cafes, bars, boutiques and a good range of local shops, with Dartmoor on the doorstep...and the coast half an hour away by car. The accommodation is newly appointed, and represents a fusion of ancient and modern - with exposed beams and solid oak worktops and flooring. The main living space is open plan, with kitchen, diner and living-room over-lapping, enabling you to enjoy meals and socialising in a light, airy environment with lovely views. The property boasts two ensuite double bedrooms – one is on the mezzanine was a roll top bath and curtains that can be drawn around the bathroom area. Please note that the mezzanine gives onto the kitchen dining living room space below. The flat is fully equipped with a dishwasher, a smart TV, a microwave, a good selection of pots and pans and sharp knives, and Sophie Conran crockery. Outside and up a flight of steps, a designer-built garden overlooks the valley opposite, and provides a sun-trap in the afternoons... Due to the nature of the property- with space saving stairs and a flight of stone steps leading up to the garden, the property is not suitable for those with infirmities or for young children.

Ashburton cookery school guests are most welcome. Discounts available for longer stays . Get away from it all on top of a Tor after the exclusive shopping Ashburton offers! Enjoy a log fire in one of the many pubs on the moor. Response from the owner I'm glad you enjoyed your visit. As you say there is a toilet that is completely shut off behind closed doors off the master bedroom... The one on the mezzanine is surrounded by curtains.. and is definitely a loo with a view. Would be delighted to have you again. Thanks for leaving the place so tidy, Françoise
