“Almost perfect but work needed”

Two families of 4 stayed here in July 2019. First impressions were good; the views were amazing and the owner had left a welcome basket of locally-sourced treats. The house is on two levels. The top floor is where the front door is, a small kitchen, dining room, lounge, snug and where the two biggest en-suite bedrooms are. These bedrooms both have air conditioning. To reach the lower floor, you have to go down steps on the outside near the pool. This floor is self contained, and has 3 bedrooms, a kitchen, a lounge area, and a couple of bathrooms. However, these rooms do not have air conditioning, only fans. We were there during a hot spell and the rooms downstairs were really too hot. Also, because this floor is built into bedrock, there is a musty smell. On the plus side, there was plenty of room for us all, and seeing as the kids were downstairs, they had access to a table tennis table and table football too. You can't really walk to any villages from the villa, but Lumio is only a short drive. We drove to Calvi every morning for croissants. The pool area is fantastic with a slide and diving board, and there is a boules area too, complete with balls. To summarise, I feel the owners really need to install air con downstairs in order to make this a villa that people can rent throughout the summer, but the views and pool area were fantastic.

“Beautiful house with sea view and lovely pool”

We had an excellent stay in Ascopa. Everythin g nice and clean. Only drawback was that there were no aircondition in the rooms downstairs.
