Description

Only 20 minutes from Casterton and 1 hour from Coonawarra wine region, between Melbourne and Adelaide makes it an ideal location for a long or short stop over. A cosy 3 bedroom traditional cottage, surrounded by native reserve, a wilderness habitat for fauna and flora.

The cottage is warm in the winter with an open log fire and cool in the summer with lots of shady trees surrounding it. Ideal for barbecues and picnics.

The Glenelg River runs through our property and is a lovely spot for a swim in its dappled shade in the summer. There is a billabong near the cottage where you can hear the frogs in the evening.

Produce from the farm, such fresh eggs and vegetables, may be arranged on request.

Bring your dogs and horses to stay, suitable facilities are available to guests at no extra charge while they are staying in the cottage, but we do expect them to be vaccinated etc. So please talk to us before you book in.

Guests are welcome to walk around and explore the farm and the untouched areas of bush that we have left undisturbed for the native animals and birds to stray into, from the surrounding Wilkin Reserve.

Those who are in luck may view the dramatic red tailed black cockatoos flying overhead.

Weekends and public holidays two night minimum stay.
