Description

Zermatt is a car-free village at the foot of the famous and magnificent Matterhorn mountain. It can be reached in around 3 1/2 hours by train from Geneva or Zurich airports where the train station is at the airport. If you are driving your car must be left in a parking in Tasch, 5 kms below Zermatt and you then take the shuttle train to the centre of Zermatt village. Alternatively, you can leave your car in one of the small garages on the lefthand side as you enter Tasch and take their taxi (only they and residents have road access as far as the entrance to the village).Haus Imperial is located less than 5 minutes on foot from the main train station, the Bahnhofstrasse which is the heart of the village, and the departure stations for Gornergrat and Sunnegga. You can also reach the MatterhornExpress departure station by taking a bus at the bottom of the street or at the train station. Three supermarkets are also within walking distance, as well as numerous smaller specialty stores and bakeries. Haus Imperial is a well maintained apartment offering free WIFI and comprising 2 twin bedded bedrooms which can be made up as doubles (one has an en suite bathroom), a living room, sit-in kitchen equipped with everything you could possibly need: fridge, dishwasher, expresso coffee machine, fondu and raclette machines, microwave. There is a dining area in the living room which can seat up to 6 comfortably, 1 main bathroom with bath/shower/WC and 1 shower/WC en suite, and a heated ski room in the entrance hall.

Haus Imperial, Unterer Mattenweg 22, 3920 Zermatt Check-in is at 1500h and check-out at 10h. Because of the logistics of arriving in Zermatt, it is not always possible to arrive and depart exactly at the desired hour. It helps my planning for cleaning and for accommodating late/early arrivals and departures of guests, if you can let me know your estimated arrival and departure times.
