If you're looking for something unique and to show you what Knysna is all about, you've found the right place!

Knysna Lodge Self Catering is all about amazing views, woodfired hot tubs and a relaxed chilled cabin vibe!

AMENITIES/FACILITIES:

Whichever accommodation you book, you will have the place to yourselves. There is no sharing of any of the facilities which include a private woodfired hot tub, private braai and a private bathroom with a hot shower!

ACCOMMODATION:

There are 3 accommodations to choose from:

The Main Cabin House - this sleeps 2 to 4 people and is rented out to one group at a time whether you are 2 or 4! Your hosts live on the property and are friendly and love guests to enjoy themselves. All guests come as strangers and leave as friends :) you'll have your own private entrance and space!

There are also 2 adorable glamping cabin treehouses (the one is a 2-4 sleeper and the other is a 2 sleeper). These are for the more adventurous who want to experience living in a treehouse, enjoy camping (but with all the luxuries!), love nature and the outdoors and don't mind climbing some easy stairs. We call it the stairway to heaven...you will not get better views than these guaranteed! Our friendly staff will help carry bags when arriving within the check-in times.

Each accommodation has breathtaking views, a private woodfired hot tub, private braai facilities and a private bathroom with hot shower.

It's the perfect getaway for a couple, family or friends. We regret no little ones under the age of 12 years.

LOCATION:

You'll be ideally located, close to everything: restaurants, Knysna Waterfront, world renowned Simola Golf Course and Pezula Golf Course, white sandy beaches, Knysna Heads and it's a great base to explore the rest of the beautiful Garden Route. We also offer our guests lagoon cruises, canoe hire, discounts on some activities like Knysna Elephant Park, Monkeyland, Birds of Eden, Tenikwa (Big Cats), Tsitsikamma & Elgin Treetop Canopy Tours and Bloukrans Bungee (highest commercial bungee in the world!).

Getting around

South Africa doesn't have the public transport system as you would find overseas so people usually hire a car to get around. Taxi service is available. Knysna Town Centre is 1km away from us and Knysna Waterfront is 2km's away from us. They are both within walking distance too but remember, you'll have to walk back up the hill which is quite steep. You can't have the gorgeous views without being located on the hill ;-)

Interaction with guest

You'll receive a very warm welcome at Knysna Lodge :) We have found that some people like a lot of interaction and then there are those that like to be left alone so it's really up to you how much interaction you would like. Whatever you decide we'll ensure that everything is perfect for your stay! For those that are more social and like company, we can even take you out for a boat cruise on the Knysna Lagoon and on other adventures to explore beautiful Knysna and surrounds!

House rules

Knysna Lodge is a relaxed chilled cabin vibe and is also a homestay. Your hosts live on the property but are separate from guests. Guests can expect a warm and friendly welcome and hosts and staff will go above and beyond to ensure you have magical memories :)

There is no sharing of any of the facilities.
Please smoke outside.
Children over 7 are welcome. It's not toddler friendly.
Furbabies are allowed by prior arrangement only.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If Tercia (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
