Description
The spacious chalet-style cottage has 3 bedrooms: a double en-suite and two twins with a shared bathroom containing bath and shower. All towels and bedding are provided. The main living area is open plan with plenty of room so that you are not getting under each other’s feet. It comprises a dining area with large 8-seater table; a kitchen with fridge-freezer, gas stove, microwave and other essential items; and a comfy sitting area with views up to Phillipskop. The sitting area has a log-burning stove for the cooler months, and the cottage is supplied with solar hot water, including electric back-up so that you never run out. There is the essential braai area on the mountain side of the cottage and a large deck on the valley side, so that you can take in the views.
We are sure that you will enjoy all that Phillipskop has to offer. Whether it is just a weekend to unwind and soak up the views, or you are staying longer to explore both the reserve and the wider area with all its attractions.

“Amazing Getaway”

Response from the owner Thank you Mike for your thorough review. Amused by your comment on our showers with glass doors. We were never totally able to understand the purpose of these ourselves when we took over and renovated the cottages. We left them in as they are still totally private with the fencing outside and do ensure the bathrooms are full of light. We don't do changeovers on a Sunday as we want to ensure our staff get a day off, and it does mean that weekend guests are able to make the most of their time as we do not ask them to leave before the afternoon.

“Spectacular views and wonderful setting”
We had a wonderful stay at these fantastic cottages! Loads of space inside and out of the cottage for the kids to run around. Cottage was clean and excellent value for money. Unfortunately, didn't have time to do any of the hikes that the reserve offers but will definitely be back again to do them. Thank you Chris

“A relaxing retreat in a gorgeous setting”
Our stay at Phillipskop Mountain Reserve exceeded our expectations - Oxalis chalet was spacious, well-equipped and comfortable with stunning views. The walking trails in the reserve are wonderful with interesting rock formations and a wide variety of plants and flowers to admire. A very special place which we will defnitey revisit.

“Serene,breath taking and refreshing”
Phillipskop was definitely exactly what we needed.The hosts were lovely, accommodation spacious, clean and well equipped and the surroundings....oh breath taking and peaceful. We will definitely be back.
