Description

Beautifully furnished, spacious apartment. One bedroom, living area and bathroom. Outdoor pool and gardens for use by residents and guests.

First floor apartment accessed by steps with railing. Decorated and furnished to a high standard. Sleeps 5. There is one bedroom with double bed, single bed, chair, built in wardrobe, chest of drawers, 3 bedside cabinets with lamps. The lounge - diner has a fully equipped modern kitchen area including electric cooker and microwave, bar stools, dining table and chairs and large luxury sofa, that pulls out into a double bed. Flatscreen TV, DVD player, selection of DVDs, games, books and magazines. Lovely bed linen and towels are provided and a hair dryer, iron and ironing board. Fully tiled bathroom comprises bath with overhead shower, bathmat, toilet, washbasin and surround. There is a heated towel rail, and a clothes airer. Wall-mounted heaters are in all rooms, and all electricity is included. All rooms overlook the residents' outdoor heated swimming pool (open May - October) and gardens with palm trees. Our apartment is also on the sunny side of the building.....a lovely bonus! Parking for one car.

The apartment is located behind security gates to prevent use of the pool by non-residents.

Great value accommodation and great location suitable for family holidays or couples or just a lovely place to stay if on a business trip.

Getting around

Frequent buses and ferries run from Paignton to both Torquay and Brixham. Paignton train station is a 15 minute walk and there's a great steam train journey to Dartmouth.

Interaction with guest

Access is contactless with keys and the keyfob for the secure car park being kept in a keysafe. Our lovely housekeeper knows the Torbay area well and lives locally so is on hand to respond to queries or problems during your stay if required. We live in Bristol and can usually be reached quickly by phone. Please ask if you have any special requests or questions prior to or during your stay.

“Lovely apartment, great location.”

Nice little apartment, neat, clean and adequately equipped. Ideal for two or perhaps three people, I personally would not want to be one of five sharing it. The location is ideal both for local amenities and for touring/walking the area. The beach is just over the road and the town a very short walk away. Paignton is ideal for touring the area and there is a very good bus service (although while I was there I was unable to get a bus time table due, as everything is, to covid!) I went on the steam train and visited 2 national trust properties, I walked the coastal path to Brixham and walked to Cockington. I did find the very strong closers on the gate and entrance door a bit of an issue, especially when transporting luggage. I can not comment on the pool as it was not open during my stay, again due to covid.

Response from the owner All the apartments at New Esplanade Court are the same size with a spacious lounge/diner/kitchen and a bedroom of the same size, plus a bathroom. Some apartments sleep 7. We feel that the combination of a double bed and single in the bedroom and a double pull-out sofabed in the lounge accommodates 5 people reasonably comfortably, allowing good value for money in the fabulous location of the property. Looks like you enjoyed some of our favourite places during your stay and made the most of your time despite Covid! Thank you for your review.

“Everything you need all in one loction”

Another fantastic holiday an on arriving at Esplanade court it felt we had never been away such a great location with a lovely warm pool ready to jump into after a long journey. Everything is only a stroll away there is so much to do wether it be looking round the shops, chilling on the beach, crazy golf ,having fun on the machines on the pier,donkey rides,going to the cinema or a walk round the beautiful park or have a game of tennis.an thats not leaving paignton! Theres lots of great places to visit a brilliant family holiday ,great location an lovely well equipped accomodation.

“Fabulous clean apartment with full facilities in wonderful location”

This fabulous apartment has everything you could need for a self catering holiday. It is located literally a minute from the sea front but is in a private gated complex so is lovely and quiet in the apartment. The owners and caretaker lady were all very helpful and answered all our questions and replied to all our emails. Communication was brilliant. This apartment also has an allocated parking space. We didn't use the pool but it did look very inviting and was very clean and tidy. Highly recommended!
