The Bed & Breakfast Casetta Manila, is located in Casamassella, a small village 3 Km from Otranto (Le), ideal place to spend a peaceful, avoiding the hustle and bustle of the resorts that are all within a few Km such as Otranto which is the closest and then Porto Badisco, Castro marina, Santa Cesarea terme , Baia dei Turchi, the Alimini Lakes, Torre Sant'Andrea, Torre dell'Orso.
Manila House is thus situated in a strategic position to visit the ' Terra d'Otranto is without doubt the most beautiful part of Salento.
The nearest seaside is Otranto, Italy's most easterly town. In 2010 his beautiful old village was recognized Unesco World Heritage site and is part of the club is the most beautiful villages in Italy.
To visit the famous Norman Cathedral which houses the relics of the martyrs and 800 which can boast one of the world's largest mosaic and the massive aragonese Castle surrounded by a wide moat to defend the ancient village. Today, the castle of Otranto became the Centre of culture through events and exhibitions international character.
The Otranto coast stretches for 25 km, not to be missed is Porto Badisco, a coast by wildlife and landscapes like the one you can enjoy from Torre Sant ' Emiliano and baia dei Turchi, considered by many the most beautiful coast of Salento, an oasis of unspoiled paradise left and a sea that has nothing to envy to the much advertised exotic destinations.
A few meters from ' Manila ' House, several country lanes that wind among the olive groves are ideal for lovers of jogging, walking or cycling (there is a mountain bike that can be used for free). Salento is not only sea, but a land rich in history, culture and traditions.
Summer is full of events of all kinds including the many festivals where you can taste the typical dishes of Salento, the land of great gastronomic traditions. The climate of terra d'Otranto is very mild all year round and also in spring or early autumn you can very often spend a day at the beach or exploring this corner of Earth that will never cease to amaze you.
