Albion House can offer a welcome and relaxing staycation and or workcation break. With plenty of walking and cycling routes and ample local shops Albion House offers an ideal base to explore rural areas of Gloucestershire and surrounding Shire Counties or longer trips to Welsh beaches.

Albion House is a an attractive, spacious and relaxing 3 bedroom Georgian Town House located in the centre of the Newent, in North Gloucestershire. The Grade II Listed property was sympathetically renovated and available for holiday letting from September 2015. Newent is a small and friendly market town and base to chill out.

With 3 large bedrooms, a comfortable lounge and separate dining room Albion House provides ideal accommodation for up to 6 for a peaceful or active stay in rural Gloucestershire. With shops and pubs very close by you can unwind in comfort. There is a courtyard for relaxing in and off street parking to the rear of the property for 2-3 cars.

In Summer enjoy forest walks with wild flowers, cycling, golf, horse riding, castles, cathedrals, rural pubs, stream trains, walking with llamas or days out. Cardiff, Bath, Cotswolds to Cheltenham are within an hour of Albion House. Or simply put your feet up with a good book or paint a picture.

In Autumn and Winter enjoy cosy nights in Albion House and enjoy many woodland walks in the immediate area.

Newent is a rural market town nearly all your food, wine and beer for the week could be from local farms, vineyards or local businesses within a 10 mile radius. So very good for the environment with no air miles on your plate and great for your taste buds.

We will accept up to 2 well behaved dogs and responsible owners to keep the property clean for future guests.

We have had an amazing holiday at Albion house.Throughout the process of booking and for our entire stay the owner , Andrew, made sure that everything was perfect. When we arrived a bottle of Prosecco was waiting for us in the fridge.The owners have thought of everything that you could possibly need for your holiday , board games, BBQ , picnic set , kayak , bikes etc. Great attention has been paid to ensure that Covid measures are in place. From the outset , we felt completely safe and at home. Newent is a great village , very friendly people , we enjoyed visiting all the local shops and restaurants. Newent is a great base for a holiday - we went canoeing and wild swimming in the river Wye at Symonds Yat. My husband and children went climbing in Wales and we walked in the Malvern Hills. Gloucester Cathedral is well worth a visit.There is just so much to see a do , a week is just not enough time. I think Newent is a perfect holiday destination - we will definitely go back to Albion house .

“Great spot to explore the Forest of Dean”

Nice ambiance and convenient for shops. Good local butchers. Central location especially for those who like to be in the middle of things! Pleasant outside area. Forest of Dean cycling routes a plenty as well as local walks. May Hill (suggested by Andrew) a lovely spot with wild ponies and a fantastic view. Cheltenham lido a short drive away. Enjoyable break in a beautiful house.
