Description
The Famous Le Petit Chateau
Known locally as “the little chateau” the house is on a quiet country road close to a river and is nestled on a private gated 5,807metres squared garden.
The property is in the area of Salernes renowned for its vin yards, beautiful pottery and clay tiles, the house is a 10 minute walk from the sleepy town centre, which has lovely weekly markets, perfect for cheese tasting and enjoying the French provincial way of life.
The house and gardens have been completely renovated while keeping with the original charm of a French provincial manor house. On the ground floor there is an entrance hall, WC and elevator for disabled access, the living room and modern kitchen then open into a spacious dining area, there is also under the house a charming wine cellar.
A lovely stair case then leads to the upper levels, on the first floor there are 3 double bedrooms, 2 with ensuite, 1 single bedroom and a 4th bathroom. There is also a large quiet balcony that has views over the surrounding gardens and pool.
The second floor then offers a very large master bedroom, 2 separate double bedrooms, a small bathroom and a separate sauna and shower facility room.
The spacious gardens are beautifully landscaped with a lovely fountain, tall Cyprus tress, Olive, Pomigranut, Fig and Wall nut trees.
At the rear of the house there is a large tiled veranda, perfect for daytime and evening outdoor dining, while offering lovely views of the garden. Then below there is a beautiful pool with a summer house that includes WC, shower, BBQ and clay pizza oven.
While the house is roughly 45 minutes drive from the sea and the popular St.Tropez, there are also some beautiful local small towns, including Salernes, Lorgues, Entrecasteaux and Carces to name a few.
A must see is also the amazing Gorge de Verdon, Frances grand canyon offering amazing views and a range of water sports including white water rafting and other outdoor activities.

“Most amazing home from home”
My family of ten and I stayed at this house in August. The photos don't do it justice, it's better in real life. We had planned to eat out every night, however we only went out once, we fell in love with the house and the outside areas. We spent most of our time, day and night, around the pool and the BBQ/pizza oven. There are so many different parts to the outside of this house, you can enjoy a different area each night and there's always seating and lighting available. The pool is the perfect temperature, not too cold for a little baby. It looks lovely at night with the lights on. There's plenty of sun beds and adequate seating in the shaded area. The garden is huge, way bigger than the photos show, even though it looks big in them. The house is amazing inside, full of character. The kitchen has new appliance and two fridges and freezer. Plenty of pots/pans/plates/cutlery etc. All the bedrooms are great, it's just deciding which one you want, the higher you go up, the warmer it gets in the summer, as you would expect. Amazing views from all of the bedrooms. This house is perfect for a family holiday and is big enough to escape if you need to. I don't have a bad word to say about it, we loved it. The owner Liam is also very helpful and was on hand for us if we needed him.
