Description
Honeysuckle cottage is in a rural position, adjacent to the owners home and next to a working farm.
It has been converted from a former dairy to provide a fully self-contained, well equipped, comfortable, warm and cosy beamed cottage for 2 people with 1 bedroom with a king-sized bed (5ft); a lounge/diner; separate kitchen and full bathroom with a shower over the bath.
The bath has a door for easy access.
In 2023 we have fitted 4G broadband so the cottage now has fast speeds. There is a Smart TV with Netflix; Prime: BBC IPlayer; ITVX, as well as Freeview etc.
All linen and towels are provided, with extra pillows, and extra towels as well as beach towels for those warmer days when you want a 'dip' in the sea.
The cottage is let on a self-catering basis with the town of Dereham just 3 miles away. Here we have Tescos, Morrisons, LIdl and Aldi as well as the usual shops found in a small market town.
There is full oil fired central heating which guests control, as well as constant hot water and a wood-burning fire with all wood provided.
Being all at ground level with just 1 step to enter the porch, access may be suitable for people with limited mobility - please discuss with the owner.
Parking for 2 cars is next to the cottage, and a shed is available to store bikes. A locked garage can be used for motorbikes if required. There is a small garden, patio furniture and a bench seat outside - all with comfy cushions.
Welcome pack included - tea, coffee, sugar, milk, bread, cake etc.
Being centrally located in Norfolk, the cottage provides a base from which to explore the whole region.
Honeysuckle Cottage is equidistant from the north Norfolk coast at Wells-next-the Sea with its picturesque quay and traditional seaside beach and shops; and the Broads to the east which offers wonderful wildlife, boat trips and walks. Pensthorpe Natural Park (BBC Bird Watch programme) is 30 minutes away and to the west is Sandringham House, and extensive bird watching at several RSPB reserves. The medieval city of Norwich is just 30 minutes away by car, with its famous Norman castle, striking architecture, numerous museums, as well as great eating and shopping opportunities.
Whether enjoying a trip to see the seals at Blakeney, or visiting one of the numerous National Trust properties in Norfolk - you will be spoilt for choice.

“A wonderful find”
This is a gem of a cottage set in peaceful surroundings near Dereham. We visited the North Norfolk coast and Blicking and Norwich is easily reached. Exploring the country lanes was part of the holiday. The owners make you feel very welcome with an attention to your needs. The cottage had all we needed and was very clean and comfortable. Home made cake welcomed us and there is an attractive garden to help you relax.

“Perfect Norfolk Cottage with everything you need !”
We have just spent a very enjoyable few days in Shipdham at Honeysuckle cottage. The cottage is a very high standard with everything you could possibly need and then a few extras !! The owners live nearby and are on hand if you need them. I would highly recommend the property and we will certainly be back. Thank you for a most enjoyable break.

“Honeysuckle Cottage”
This quaint cottage was perfect for our needs. We felt very comfortable and really enjoyed the rural location. The lemon cake was a delight and much appreciated by my wife who could not stop herself eating it. I highly recommend Honeysuckle Cottage.
