Description

Hamptons Farmhouse is located in the beautifully rural area between the villages of Plaxtol and West Peckham in Kent, the Garden of England. Amazingly quiet and peaceful, set in 9 acres of land, all that can be seen is rolling countryside, yet we are just 32 miles from the centre of London with all its theatres, tourist attractions, shopping and cultural activities.

On our 9 Acre site there is so much to do: past the cottages unfolds the beautiful gardens with duck pond on which you can paddle around on the row boat. Or play open air table tennis under the shelter of the barn; take afternoon tea on the lawns or if you feel more energetic play croquet or even tennis in the all weather courts.

The Hamptons Farmhouse site is very child-friendly, it is safe and secure (including the water areas) but is filled with adventure and excitement. The 'Fort' is a camouflaged climbing frame with swings, monkey bars, climbing wall and 40m zip wire. By the giant redwood tree, on which swings and trapeze hang, is the massive 17' x 12' super bouncy Jump King trampoline. The genuine gypsy caravan is a cosy place to chill out for children and adults alike. The woodland tree-house with 'super-slide'; secret dens; seven dwarf's playhouse,;climbing trees; and farmhouse animals add to the overall blissful experience.

Getting around

We are wonderfully rural but nestled between villages and towns. It probably is best if you have a car but taxis are a good alternative if your main intention is to relax or just walk locally.

House rules

Please advise us if you would like to charge up your electric car while you stay with us. Though we don't yet have charging points outside each of our cottages you are able to plug into the mains electricity. A 30Kwh car charge is £9 (these are our costs (Aug 22) and £13.50 for a 45Kwh car.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your booking page. To change your dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Katie and Andy (the owner) a message.

If Katie and Andy (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
