Our holiday cottages are tucked away in the quiet Blagdon valley yet only two miles from the English Riviera beaches at Torquay, Paignton & Brixham.
Cherry Cottage is a 17th century building, recently renovated to a high standard. Many original features have been retained & modern comforts such as underfloor heating, surround sound cinema facility & a wet-room have been introduced.
Shared outdoor solar heated swimming pool (10.5m x 5.5m, depth 1.2m) open 10.00am to 6.00pm every day, May-Sept weather permitting.
Ground floor: All level access. Kitchen, living / dining room with parquet floor. Wood burner. Wet room with walk-in shower, roll-top bath, toilet, basin; Twin bedroom.
First floor: 4 bedrooms: 2 doubles with king size beds, 1 twin; 1 twin or double (please specify when booking). 2 bathrooms with showers, basins & toilet.
Bed linen and towels included, underfloor & central heating, gas hob. 2 elec ovens. M/wave. D/washer. F/freezer. Travel cot & high chair on request (no charge). Wi-fi included. Freeview HD TV. DVD. CD. Digital projector & 5.1 surround sound system.
Private garden and furniture. Dedicated parking for 3+ cars. Cycle store.
Blagdon House Country Cottages (Ivy, Dandelion, Oak & Cherry Cottages) can be booked together to accommodate up to 24 guests.

“Lovely cottage in south Devon”
Spend a very relaxing week staying at Cherry Cottage near Blagdon. The cottage is loacted 5 mins drive from edge of Paignton (and at least 2 large supermakets) but is in proper countryside down a series of country lanes and surrounded by fields and hedgerows on all sides. Very peaceful and secluded. Property is well appointed, we primarily ate at home because of challenges of eating out at the moment as a group of 6. Kitchen is well equipped and we also used the BBQ. House is spacious and could easily accomodate 10. Front garden is large enough for kids to have a kick around with a football. Owners are well organised for COVID era of holidays in terms of extensive cleaning during changeovers but are also very friendly and on hand to give advice on places to visit. Particular highlight (of the kids) was the projector / home cinema set-up which we used to watch DVDs on several evenings. All in all a very good base to explore south Devon.

“perfect for a relaxing larger family break”
Ideal for a relaxing family holiday, in a quiet location but only a couple of miles away from various beaches, towns and attractions, with the option of lovely walks. the house itself was very comfortable and had all we needed despite Coivid restrictions. open plan living great for family and loved,y having a Bbq and outdoor table for when the sun shines. Young and old we all really enjoyed our stay and useful having friendly owners on site.

“Beautiful Cottages”
Stayed here for two nights with 14 friends, everything about the weekend was an absolute dream, the owners are lovely and couldn’t be more accommodating, when we arrived we had complimentary scones, jam and clotted cream and the nice touch of some local produce. The cottages are beautifully decorated and very cosy! We managed to use the swimming pool when the weather was good, which was lovely. We visited Torquay on Saturday and was a short distance in a taxi. All in all everything you need for a perfect weekend away. We will definitely visit again.
