Harrington House is steeped in history but flourishes with new style. Admire the south shore scenery and beauty of this unique 1864 church-converted cottage. Romance and joie de vivre go hand in hand in Harrington House where the spectacular surroundings serve as a backdrop for this exquisitely crafted, architecturally-designed cottage.
Contrast and Balance are integrated throughout the cottage thereby achieving an environment of peaceful equilibrium - perfect for your vacation, romantic getaway or any occasion when you desire a retreat from the fast pace of everyday life.
From the living room and deck you have an unobstructed ocean view of Northumberland Strait with St Peter’s Island and Nova Scotia in the distance. Take in a panoramic view of blue sky, green pasture and the red sand of PEI’s South Shore.
Harrington House at Rice Point is a spacious non-smoking cottage with Great Room providing living and dining areas under an open cathedral ceiling. The Great room also offers easy access to the deck equipped with gas BBQ, Hot Tub (year round) and Patio Furniture for enjoying an expansive water view or a quiet meal amid gorgeous sunsets.
A complete, well appointed kitchen, finished with stainless steel appliances awaits the creative cook in you. If you prefer, have us provide you with catered service.
Relax while gazing into the fireplace as you plan your next adventure or set aside time to contemplate your internal thoughts.
The two luxury bedrooms comfortably sleep six. The master bedroom offers a queen size bed, armoire, dresser and a corner tub ensuite built in the steeple. Pendant and pot lights create a romantic mood. The second bedroom offers two double beds, armoire and dresser. Both rooms adjoin a half (2 pc.) bathroom. Quality sheets, bedding, towels and linens are included. A pull-out sofa bed located in the Great Room can accommodate two additional guests.
Pamper yourself in one of two luxurious spa-like bathrooms complete with air jet massage tubs. The steeple, which once served as the bell tower, has become a whimsical bath off the master bedroom. The bath is like a cocoon that assures total relaxation.
A fully stocked laundry room with washer/dryer, iron and ironing board will accommodate your household needs. Cable TV, DVD, whole house stereo, wireless high-speed Internet and a selection of movies, books, and indoor and outdoor activities will entertain the whole family.
The cottage is zone heated with in-floor radiant heat to ensure your utmost comfort.
