Featured on Fox TV (Google "Great Escape Lakeside's Fox TV appearance!") and in the Guinness Book of World Records for the World's Largest Word Search, The Great Escape has a 40,000 gallon "Go Fish" pool, spa, and multi-speed lazy river plus 2 story waterslide AND a kiddy waterslide too! There's also human bowling, human foosball, a basketball court, a soccer billiards court, fishing, kyaking, canoeing, and more--all on 10 privately gated acres.
Indoors, EVERYthing is about GAMES families have loved for generations--young & old! There's a giant in-floor piano, huge teak chess set, life-sized Operation Game, an interactive CLUE themed escape room, the world's first residential laser maze, TV family game show studio, commercial arcade games, movie theater, giant lite brite, and so much more...
Bring 2 people---or bring 45 --- and you'll have a reunion, get together, meeting, or vacation...that the whole group will be talking excitedly about...for years to come!
We have three very unique properties and this -- The Great Escape Lakeside--is the newest and most custom-built. The first one, Ever After Estate was on HGTV's "Most Outrageous Homes" and Travel & Leisure Magazine called our Sweet Escape "More fun than Disney.." but Great Escape outdoes them both!
***ANSWERS TO SOME COMMONLY ASKED QUESTIONS***
1. How Can We Sleep 45 People In 13 Bedrooms?
---The Great Escape's main website has a floor plan illustrating the layout of the beds we have in the 13 rooms. Assuming each King & Queen bed has 2 people in it, then the 13 bedrooms sleep 34 people. Additionally, The Great Escape has 6 twin rollaways, 2 twin sleeper sofas (couches w/ pullout beds), and 1 futon. There are also 2-3 pack-n-play cribs and several luxury seats in the Jumanji theater...that recline fully like beds.
2. Are The Rates Negotiable?
---Our own website has the most up-to-date rates. Sorry, but they are not adjustable. You will find, however, that the $1295-$1645 (+tax/cleaning) we typically get per night is a much better deal than trying to sleep 15-45 people in a hotel-- plus, obviously, The Great Escape Lakeside is FAR more unforgettably fun & exciting!
3. Is There Any Way Around The 3 Night Minimum ?
---Only if there's a 1-2 night gap between two guests. If, for example, one guest is leaving on Wednesday and another guest is arriving that same Friday...*then* you CAN rent those 2 nights from Wednesday to Friday. If you can't find any short gaps during the time of year you'd like to stay....consider just going ahead and renting the full 3 nights! Even if you don't sleepover on the 3rd night, you'll still get to checkout as late as you want since you would have technically booked through the following morning!!
4. Can I Have My Wedding At The Great Escape Lakeside?
--Absolutely! Our main site actually has an entire section devoted to weddings, rentals for weddings, photos of past weddings, etc;. If you plan to have more than 125 through 140 people at your wedding, you'll need to use a larger "wow" property we manage: The Ever After Estate 62 acre marsh island.
5. Can I Bring My Pets?
---Goldfish? No problem! That side, there's a $25/day fee for potty-trained, hypoallergenic dogs-- allowed on a case-by-case basis (almost always allowed, that is!)
