Located on a small hill overlooking Paunch Beach, one of the top surf beaches in Bocas, this first floor studio style apartment located in the main cabin style house is part of a new, small B&B called Surf Break at Paunch. Here you can wake up to the sounds of Howler Monkeys and tropical birds and fall asleep to the sounds of the ocean from the nearby surf.

When you visit us, not only are you visiting an amazing tropical paradise with tons of unique wildlife, beautiful plants and landscapes, but also an epic surf spot right at our front door…with more amazing beaches (for both swimming and surfing) just a short walk, bike or boat ride away!

Located at one of the best surf spots in Bocas Del Toro - you can swim & surf right across the street at Paunch Beach or go to Bluff Beach (10 min car ride, 20 min bike ride away). To the left and right of us there are areas of the beach that are great for relaxing away from the crowds of the more “popular” beaches in Bocas. There are three other bar & restaurants within 5-10 minute walking distance and we are only a 15 minute car ride/20-30 minute bike ride to the main part of Bocas Town.

Apartment comes equipped with a kitchenette and some additional convenience items such as small flash lights (as some part of town are dark/unlit), fans, beach towels, and bicycles. Other amenities include free breakfast, free WiFi, hot water, high quality linens, cook ware and basic items for cooking (seasoning, coffee, sugar, drinking water, etc).

With only two units available for rent, if you have a party of 4, you can rent both rooms and basically have the entire place to yourselves (other than us of course). If interested, the other room is listed as ID # 8318554.

Getting around

There are various options to get around in Bocas. On Isla Colon you can walk, ride bicycles, rent ATVS or take taxis...there are even some cars available for rent. Personally, we highly recommend bicycles (which we provide for free) or ATVS (which can be rented at a location within walking distance from us).

Interaction with guest

When you check in, we will do a quick walk through with you, provide you with keys and set you up with bicycles (provided free of charge for our guests). We live on the property and are available everyday until 11am at least. When we are not on property, we are still available by cell phone.

- All rooms are smoke-free, a $250 room re-conditioning fee will apply to violations.
- Candles are strictly prohibited in our rooms.
- It is your responsibility to keep the bike locked at all times (a lock will be provided). A deposit of $50 will be requested at the time of check in.
- Only beach towels provided should be brought to the beach.
- Sheets and towels are changed after every 3rd night of your stay.
- Quiet hours are from 9pm - 8am.
- The restaurant accepts cash only.
