“La Haute Milliere”

Reviewed 5 Apr 2018

Four of us stayed for 10 days in March and had a brilliant time. Although the gite has five bedrooms, two of them (and a bathroom) are accessed through the living room and up a separate staircase so we didn’t feel the gite was too big for the four of us! There’s a large and homely kitchen and the three bedrooms have two bathrooms between them. There is also a garden for the children to play in. We loved Dinan and the coast is not far away with beautiful beaches. We will definitely return.

“Brilliant Brittany farmhouse”

Reviewed 18 Mar 2018

We have visited this gorgeous farmhouse twice with friends and family and it’s perfect! It’s spacious, clean and very well equipped with everything you need. (Teens appreciated the WiFi !) It’s set in a beautiful rural location and everyone loved cycling to the boulangerie in the morning for baguettes and croissants, or cycling to the lake for a swim / kayaking. We loved our day trip to the oyster beds of Brittany - oysters, mussels, wine and Brittany cider overlooking the sea - it doesn’t get much better! Lots to do in neighbouring towns - there are parks, zoos and some great little shops and restaurants. The farm house also has a decent sized garden for rounders, badminton - or simply sundowners enjoying the sun and tranquillity. We are planning our return trip!

“Fabulous Family Retreat”

Reviewed 21 Sep 2017

We spent a fabulous week with friends at this charming French Cottage. The house has everything you need, including Wifi. It worked really well with 2 families as there is an addition/ separate staircase for the 2 end bedrooms. It's set in a quite rural location. Very nearby, ( across the field), is an old railway track which we took the kids down with their bicycles - safe, easy riding and lots of blackberries to pick on route! We also walked down to the lake, where the kids could swim, ( beach) and have ice-creams. The garden catches the evening sun and is a perfect spot for a family bbq. Nearby is the charming medieval town of Dinard, full of boutique shops and restaurants. A very relaxing holiday, would highly recommend.

“Stunning rural idyll in the heart of Brittany”

Reviewed 21 Aug 2017

We are regular visitors to La Haute Milliere. The house is charming - it's also very well equipped - all needs are taken care of including wifi for those who want to keep in touch with what's happening in the world. The location is perfect for escaping hectic city life and re-charging as well as convenient for exploring the delights to be found in Dinan, St Malo and Rennes. A personal favourite is waking in the morning to the chorus of the cows from the neighbouring farm.
