Description
A classic old Colonial Villa built in the early 1900's, this ancestral property is in Matara - just 10 mins from the Southern Expressway E01. Set in 10 acres of tropical gardens, plantations & surrounding paddy fields this is an idyllic place for relaxation and a haven for anyone who wants to live in harmony with nature.
Situated majestically on a hill top it has 4 bedrooms and sleeps 6 to 8 people. Wide verandas, airy rooms and lofty beamed ceilings characterise this serene Dutch-colonial style villa that's perfect for groups and families.
The deluxe room has A/C and an en-suite bathroom, all other rooms have fitted ceiling fans. The property has a fully equipped kitchen, two bathrooms (with hot water), free wi-fi and cable TV. It has a separate servants/drivers quarters.
A natural bathing well allows visitors to bathe in the mineral waters flowing from natural springs deep beneath the ground. All drinking water is also drawn from a well in the property.
Property is looked after by a full-time manager. Meals, laundry services, local tuk tuk rides, airport transfers can all be provided on request (charges apply).
Beaches – Mirissa, Weligama and Polhena beaches are all within 30 minute drive from the property.
