The house is reserved for medical students and doctors undertaking clinical electives or fellowships at Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital and Charlotte Maxeke Hospital.

444 Medics have stayed at Swanage todate from 31 countries.

The owner is an honorary game ranger and full-time consultant physician at Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital and has been hosting international students for the past 10 years during which 435 medics from 31 countries have made Swanage their home.

Sandringham is the second safest suburb in Johannesburg; it is safe to run and cycle in the neighbourhood. It is well-located, with the nearest grocery store 200m away. Sandton is a short 15-minute drive for the shopping mall, night clubs and restaurants. The O.R. Tambo International Airport is 17 minutes away.

We are 25 minutes' drive from Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital and 12 minutes from Charlotte Maxeke Hospital. Parking is available for 10 cars; car rental services can come to the house to arrange car hire.

There is a large koi pond in the garden with two waterfalls, a secluded swimming pool, covered patio and braai (barbecue) facilities. Weekend safari trips to the Pilanesberg are organized from Swanage.
