Description from owner
Description
You’ll find King’s Cottage on the edge of Cheltenham in Charlton Kings. You are just minutes away from the Cotswolds and its delightful villages and exquisite countryside. Of course Cheltenham itself has so much to offer too, a vibrant regency town with fabulous shopping, restaurants, and festivals galore. What’s more King’s Cottage is near a great pub, The Royal, with a good reputation for its food and real ale. So, you don’t even have to cook although you have all you could ever need for self catering in the well equipped kitchen. The pub can even deliver meals to your door if you want.
A former bakery, the cottage dates back to 1830. King’s Cottage is ideal for up to 4-5 people but can sleep up to 6.
You can enjoy all the benefits of self catering accommodation but you're also next to a pub if you want to treat yourself or can't be bothered to cook. You can get away from things, or be as sociable as you like! We can offer plenty of advice on days out, places to visit, restaurants, golf courses, great walks, cycle routes, beauty treatments, etc. Plus the team at the Royal always on hand to help you organise things and make sure you get the most from your stay.

“Excellent cottage for exploring Cheltenham and the Cotswolds”
The cottage was well situated with easy access to Cheltenham town centre. International birds of prey, roman villa, houses and gardens were just some of the sites we explored. The Cotswolds are great to explore, picnics, walks and some amazing views. The cottage was very pleasant, clean and tidy with everything you need to make your stay feel like home. The owners were friendly, and provided some thoughtful essentials for our arrival. They also run the pub which is next door to the cottage. The pub food was delicious after a day of exploring and the staff were very friendly. The only criticisms would be that the bed and pillows in the master bedroom were really hard, personal preference I know, and I'm not usually that fussy, but I found them impossible to use. The church bells also take some getting used to, they ring on the hour every hour and chime every 15 minutes, when you're not used to the noise it's really hard to ignore them! People leaving the pub could be a little noisy, and we could hear tables/chairs or something be stored away at the end of the night which again was a little disturbing when you're tired out and just want to crash. However, if you book next to a church and a pub you have to expect to encounter some noise! We enjoyed our stay and found the cottage and surrounding area to be charming.

“Home from home environment”
We were visiting family so it was so lovely to stay in the cottage as our base. It was a very clean, cosy and homely environment . On arrival there was milk, tea, coffee and biscuits left for us which was a very lovely touch. We will definitely return to the cottage . Thank you for a lovely stay
