Description

The Old Smokehouse is the original building historically used to smoke the fish caught by the local fishermen of East Runton. It was lovingly converted to a residential home in 2010 and now offers luxury self catering accommodation for up to four people in the Jewel of the North Norfolk coast.

Situated right on East Runton Common and within just a few minutes walk of the beach, the accommodation provides:

* A spacious and well equipped open plan living / dining / kitchen with a part vaulted ceiling, a washing machine, a dishwasher, and a retro style fridge/freezer, a dining table with space for four people and a comfortable lounge area with flatscreen TV and a well stocked games cupboard

* A cosy double bedroom with a kingsize bed and en-suite shower room

* A spacious twin bedroom, with sleigh beds and a separate bathroom with both a free-standing bath and shower.

All quality bed linen, bath and hand towels and a bath-mat are provided. All the beds are made up with hypo-allergenic 10.5 tog duvets, and all our beds have cotton mattress toppers, mattress and pillow protectors. In the kitchen is a well stocked under-sink cupboard containing washing-up liquid, dishwasher tablets, kitchen roll, dishcloths and tea-towels.

Great for families, couples and friends the cottage offers luxurious, quirky accommodation, with lots of interesting features.

We welcome up to two well behaved dogs per stay.

The Old Smoke House is available for both weekly and short break hire throughout the year.

Sheringham Railway Station has direct links into Norwich, from where you can connect to major rail services to London, Cambridge and beyond. There is an excellent bus service up and down the coast travelling as far as King's Lynn to the North and Great Yarmouth to the South. Norwich Airport is approximately 20 miles away.

“Lovely little gem”

We love the Smoke House! It’s our 2nd visit in 2 years. Perfectly situated to the beach and inland walks with the dogs, and the interior is very tastefully decorated.

“Wonderful week away”

We really enjoyed our stay in East Runton in this lovely, well maintained cottage. Plenty of room for our family of four plus dog! Great location, very close walking distance to wonderful beaches and a few local shops/eateries. Impressed with the cottage itself which for a relatively small space was nicely decorated, had big, comfortable beds and everything we could need. There was a minor issue we needed sorting with heating on arrival and the owners with very responsive and it was quickly resolved. Thanks for a great stay!
