Description

A 3-room suite with private entrance/deck, private bath in farmhouse (c. 1947) on 80 acres of woods and pastures with a creek. Hosts live on site and--unique in America--cook from scratch full breakfasts and dinners (included in room price). The Pacific Ocean can be heard at night; it is one walking mile west of the farm. There are many hiking trails nearby; state redwood park is 30 miles south; national park is 75 miles north. Secluded, quiet, private valley has been in family for 77 years. No ambient light or sound, no visible neighbors. Water is from on-property artesian spring; no chemicals. We have been 5-star hosts for 10 years; we live here, and we are here to make your visit comfortable, delicious, interesting, and peaceful. We welcome everyone; you can expect lively, diverse, conversations at the dining table.

We are four miles from the Victorian village of Ferndale, California, famous for its restored 19th Century buildings and its historic Main Street in a real, working town.
