Description

Welcome to Da Casa a Casa, my home from home. In my opinion this is one of the best areas to stay in Barbados, away from the hubbub and traffic of the West coast but minutes from the sea and beaches of the East coast.

The villa is situated in a quiet residential road near Six Roads on the unspoilt east coast of Barbados. The house has been finished to a high standard and has all the accommodation and facilities needed to ensure that visitors can relax and enjoy this beautiful island.

The well equipped kitchen contains all the facilities you would expect to have at home.

All three bedrooms are air conditioned with good storage and the master suite consists of a large dressing area and en-suite bath/shower room.

There is a family bathroom with a walk-in shower.

The lounge is airy with a 40+ foot vaulted ceiling and fans. This leads out to a terrace where you can watch the sun go down whilst overlooking the pool and lawned and well stocked garden.

“So Disgusted That we Left After One Night”

We originally booked 17 nights at this house 18 months ago to stay with our daughter and her young family. We had to change the booking three times due to Covid and we ended up with a booking for 20 nights starting on the 29th Jan. We arrived on Saturday evening expecting to find a house as depicted in the website photos. What we found was very different. The house was dirty, smelly and in need of some major refurbishment. You will see from our photos the state of the place. The walls and doors were badly marked and damaged in need of repair and painting. The floor tiles on the staircase were broken. The kitchen cupboards had handles missing and the insides were dirty and damaged. One look at the top of the fridge confirmed that a layer of dirt and grease had been allowed to build up. Ants were crawling all over the worktops and the only place that we could store food was inside the fridge. The main bedroom smelt of mothballs which I presume came from the giant locked box in the room. The A/C units in two rooms didn’t work because the remotes were missing. In the bathroom the taps to the bath were badly damage with lime scale and water squirted everywhere when turned on. The single towel provided in the bathroom had stains on it and the toilet roll provided was an empty cardboard tube. In the lounge the sofas were stained and had some sort on insect infestation which left my daughter scratching her arms. The supposed music player looked like a relic from the 1980s. Outside the pool now looks a dirty shade of dark green not the pale blue colour shown on the photos. The area around the pool had dirty puddles and clumps of hair were found. The pool towels were tossed in a heap on the outside table and the barbecue was left in a dirty condition. We spoke to the house manager and he agreed that the the state of the house was unacceptable and offered to arrange for a deep clean the next day. We agreed to that but overnight we concluded that staying at the house spoil our holiday on this beautiful island. My daughter found another place for us to stay at and even though it was going to cost us the same amount again we decided to go for it. We are so pleased that we did as we now have a wonderful house to stay at for a similar price. It proved to me that what we were being offered at De Casa a Casa was not acceptable. We have asked for a refund from the owner and have heard nothing. If you are thinking of booking this property be prepared to be disappointed.

“Made our family holiday perfect!!”

Just come back from staying at this lovely villa. Set in a quiet street just down the road from all amenities - supermarket, smoothie shop, bank, cheffette, buses and recycle / bottle bank. Would recommend a car just so you can explore the island. Family of 4 with 2 of the children under 10 years old. The pictures of the villa are accurate although they don’t show how light, airy and spacious this villa is. Air conditioning in the bedrooms which we used some nights but not needed every night, depending on temperature and wind as breeze flows lovely through the villa when windows are open (windows are protected by nets to stop the bugs). Clean bedding and plenty of towels for guests to use. Pool and outside area was clean and well maintained which the children used a few times under supervision as one end is fairly deep. Plenty of outside chairs, tables and sun beds/lounges to enjoy the sun, sunset and sounds of Barbados. Kitchen Well equipped with washing machine, dish washer, large fridge/freezer, cooker, microwave, plates, cutlery. Everything you need it, really felt like home (we all wished it was!!!) If you are looking for a place to stay definitely consider this villa you won’t regret it.
