Description
Villa Carolina is a house of almost 300 square meters consisting of two seperate independent homes, Rebecc's summer house and Carolina's summer home.It can accomodate 10-16 guests in the 5 bedrooms, in the playroom and in the living rooms on sofa beds.
It is very suitable for two or three families who wish to spend their holidays together and also have the privacy they want.
The airport is a fifty minutes drive and the center of Athens approximately one hour drive.
HOME 1 - CAROLINA'S SUMMER HOME
It is the ground floor of a house surrounded by the yard and garden,most suitable for family with children.
It has 3 bedrooms ( one with king size bed and two with 2 single beds each)
They all have airconditioning and private bathrooms with shower.
Spacious living room and dining room with open adjoining fully equipped kitchen with fridge/freezer, stove and oven, microwave oven and dish washer.Pots,pans ,dishes and cutlery for cooking and serving 10 people.
Basement - Playroom
It is a 40 square meters room with private bathroom /shower.
It can accomodate two children or adults sleeping on the two built in beds and also a couple of friends on matresses .
HOME 2 : REBECCA'S SUMMER HOME
It is a two floor flat with big verandas on both floors having magnificent view to the sea of South Evoicos Gulf.
First floor:
One bedroom with a queen size bed ,Air condition, en suite bathroom with shower, big veranda with sea view.
Living room with one double Sofa bed, extra sofa and confortable arm chairs, Access to the veranda of 50 square meters. Also a small W.C
Dining room with adjoining open fully eqipped kitchen, access to the back garden. In the kitchen there is a fridge/freezer, stove and oven, dishwasher, pots pans and cutlery,serving ware for 6-8 people.
In the front veranda there is a big round table where 8-10 people can eat together.
Second Floor
One bedroom with a queen size bed, Air condition,window with magnificent sea view,access to a big veranda also with sea view.
One bathroom with bath tub.
Living room with single sofa bed, access to the veranda.
THE AREA
The villa is only 5 minutes walk from the sea and 10 minutes walk from a Mini Market where you can find almost everything you need.
The sea is mostly rocky but the clear blue waters ,most of the time calm, are easily accessible. It is ideal for diving, snorkelling ,fishing and of course swimming.
The nearest sandy beach of Schinias is only 5 minutes drive. It is very suitable for children and adults who cannot swim in deep waters as the water is crystal clear and shallow..Small Children and toddlers can wade approximately 100 meters out to sea and still walk with their head out of water.
The beach is protected and rarely has waves of any size.It does not have any currents or tides to endanger children.There are plenty of sun umbrellas and beach beds and chairs to relax and spend the whole day.
On the beach of Schinias there are also wonderfull sport facilities, jet skiing,wind surfing ,beach volley e.t.c and numerous typical Greek fish tavernas.
The Enviromental Park of Schinias with the pine forest reaching the sea front offers a unique retreat in one of the most enviromentally protected locations of Attica.
The historical village of Mrathon is only 10 minutes drive. The town of Nea Makri is also a short drive away where you can stroll along the beach promenade, shop,eat and drink in the numerous restaurants and cafeterias and enjoy nightlife.
EXCURSIONS AND SIGHTSEEING
Athens is 45 kilometers from Schinias. You can either drive or take the public bus from Marathon.It takes approximately one hour depending on the traffic.
The National highway is within 30 minutes from the villa.So you can drive to Corinth in one hour and a half or Delphi in about 3 hours.Also if you wish you can go for the day to the nearest islands of Andros ,Tinos and Mykonos from the Port of Rfina which is 30 minutes away. In just 10 minutes drive you can rach the small port of Agia Marina where you can take the ferry boat across to Evia,ride around for a few hours and be back foer an afternoom swim and dinner.
