Description
L'appartamento con giardino segreto Dimora S. Giuliano, finemente ristrutturato con volte e pavimenti in pietra locale, è al piano terra di una palazzina di 2 piani e si trova vicinissimo allo splendido Duomo di San Martino, nel cuore barocco di Martina Franca, regina della Valle d'Itria.
L'appartamento è composto dalle seguenti stanze: un ingressino che porta al soggiorno con camino, TV a schermo piatto, una poltrona e divano letto per due persone; angolo pranzo ed una comoda credenza in stile rustico;
un muretto separa la cucina, piccola ma completa (lavandino inox, cucina a quattro fuochi, frigo e freezer, forno e microonde, toastiera e bollitore, moka e macchina caffè a capsule);
sulla destra si accede alla camera da letto con letto matrimoniale (1,60 m), appenderia e cassettiera, a richiesta un lettino per bebè;
adiacenti alla camera si trovano due ambienti: il bagno (con ampia cabina doccia, lavandino, bidet, wc) e la camera armadio/ripostiglio.
Da entrambe le zone giorno e notte è possibile accedere al giardino segreto attrezzato, ad uso esclusivo di Dimora S. Giuliano.
La struttura in pietra e l'affaccio doppio sul giardino permette di mantenere in estate una temperatura ottimale per tutto l'arco della giornata, garantendovi fresche notti.
Il giardino presenta una parte coperta da una pergola con piante di vite e gelsomini dove è possibile pranzare a tavola o rilassarsi al fresco; amaca e due sdraio in legno sono in dotazione così come un punto acqua .
La peculiarità del giardino interno fa della casa Dimora San Giuliano una vera rarità nel centro storico.
La casa Dimora San Giuliano risale alla prima metà del 1600, da qui la rara presenza del giardino interno probabilmente adibito ad "ortale" nei secoli passati, ed inoltre possiede un particolare molto interessante proprio sul prospetto ovvero un volto scolpito nella pietra che raffigura un uomo barbuto e con un turbante: leggenda vuole che probabilmente si tratti proprio di San Giuliano la cui iconografia contempla anche un copricapo orientale.
Situato in un vicolo tranquillo perchè non trafficato basterà girare l'angolo per affacciarsi sulla spettacolare Basilica di S. Martino e sul viale principale del Centro Storico di Martina, ricco di botteghe e ristorantini tipici.
Da Martina Franca è facile raggiungere tante località ricche di storia: Taranto Capitale di Mare e i suoi incantevoli tramonti, Grottaglie e le ceramiche, Polignano a mare, Monopoli, Cisternino e Lococrotondo per rimanere nella Valle d'Itria, o verso Sud raggiungere il Salento.
