Description

This renovated cottage was once stables and is now a B&B situated on the edge of town, just a stone’s throw from local farmlands. Owned by Dean and Phil, who run the local farmer’s market, the cottage provides a unique base to explore Porterville. The Stable is a bed and breakfast featuring a 145 m² cottage with 2 big bedrooms, open plan kitchen, and lounge, a private garden, and braai. The Stable is located on the quiet edge of Porterville town and provides accommodation with free Wi-Fi. Guests can relax away from a big city, but also enjoy the small-town atmosphere and events within minutes' drive.

The cottage has a flat-screen tv with NetFlix, fireplace in the lounge, space to sit outside, a shower/ toilet shared by the 2 rooms, with fresh clean linens, towels, a hairdryer, and free toiletries.

The town is small so walking and cycling are an easy alternative to driving. There is no public transport available in town.

We give guests space but am available when needed We have fallen in love with Porterville, and are more than happy to share all our knowledge of the area with guests in order help tailor any visit to The Stable into the perfect getaway. ​When you arrive, you will be enthusiastically greeted by our resident security team.... Buddy, Belle and JB. The 3 onsite Dachshunds. :-) If you need anything during your visit, we are always available

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If Phil (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
