Lovely second floor apartment with a private entrance, in a beautiful 2-family home on Kaaterskill Creek is available year-round for long or short stays.
Romantic, private and quiet, this great getaway spot is less than two hours drive from the George Washington bridge. Whether you are swimming, hiking, seeking nature at it's best or just resting and rejuvenating, you'll enjoy the serenity of our idyllic location. Your own large well equipped eat-in kitchen is the perfect place for morning coffee or tea. (Supplied of course along with yummy local goodies.) This getaway also features two sunny, warm bedrooms where the stream sings you to sleep, a large bathroom with a deep tub for soaking along with wifi and a well stocked vacation library.

It's a Hamlet, sleepy, neighborly, tiny. Lots of great amenities, a world class down home bistro who creates the most amazing baked goodies, salads, creative soups and grilled treats, 2 awesome restaurants (One of which has creekside dining with rocking seasonal music, library, post office, gas station. All this and an amazing view of the stars. The Milky-way is closer here, it's a wonder you'll want to catch.
Enjoy a concert at the historic Maverick or live theater at the Woodstock Playhouse. The Woodstock Film Festival, held each October, is a movie lovers delight and the Woodstock Writers Festival is an intellectual odyssey .
Summer is the time for H.I.T.S., a major equestrian event located in Saugerties, just minutes away. Saugerties also provides easy access to the Hudson River for boating and sailing. The village itself is home to renowned pubs, restaurants and a variety of shops, including unique antique stores where you'll hunt for potential treasures. Saugerties hosts many festivals and events like the Garlic Festival and the Jazz Festival. There are numerous Farmers Market is open all year round.
Hunter Mountain (12 minutes), provides a wide range of winter and summer activities. Hunter is and Windham are the major ski resorts (ours is a year-round vacation rental). The Catskill Mountain Foundation offers classes in the arts and many craft and culinary events, 23Arts, The Catskill Jazz Factory and The Kindred Spirits Jazz Thursdays are some of the culture available just minutes from the door. Got a sweet tooth? We're just 5 minutes from Twin Peaks Doughnuts where you'll find custom made to order doughnut sliders served along side of healthy local salads and eggs that you can eat while playing pool or perusing antiques (Pool table available at breakfast). Nature lovers will appreciate the access to hiking and fishing. Trout fishing is less than a block from the house and the Kaaterskill Clove trail heads are within 3 blocks.
