Description

Portballintrae is a small delightful, picturesque seaside village in County Antrim, Northern Ireland.

It is a central and perfect location to enjoy all aspects of the stunning Northern Irish North Coast whether partaking in outdoor activity, historical exploring, sporting pursuits or generally just enjoying and appreciating the diverse natural beauty the area.

Refreshing walks along the coastline, the Giant’s Causeway (World Heritage site), Old Bushmills Distillery (1608) and numerous good quality restaurants, `hotels and bars are all within comfortable walking distance from the property. It is a golfers paradise with Royal Portrush, Portstewart and Castlerock all within a 20 minute drive. The local course of Bushfoot (9 hole) is also within walking distance.

Travel by car from Belfast in just over an hour with good roads from the airports and ferries or alternatively follow the stunning Antrim coast road from Belfast/Larne to Portballintrae and beyond. Access to Donegal via the Magilligan/Greencastle Ferry is also just a 30 minute drive away.

This is a delightful modern holiday home which has recently been refurbished and made available for rental. As such comfort and cleanliness is a priority. It is one of 14 idyllic cottages centrally located to explore and enjoy the inspirational north Antrim coast. There is safe parking and an enclosed garden area with the complex.

The cottage comprises of 3 bedrooms on the ground floor consisting of 2 x double beds and a single bed ideally suited to young teenagers (photos attached). The main bedroom also has an ensuite and all bedding and towels are provided.

The family bathroom also on the ground floor contains a modern spacious shower.

Upstairs has an open plan lounge, dining and kitchen area with a small utility room including a washing machine. A 50 inch TV complete with full Sky package and good internet is also available. There is also an open fire for those winter nights.

The kitchen includes a modern fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave & hob/oven. A travel cot & high chair are also available on request.

Additional requirements can be discussed with the owners prior to booking. They will also be contactable 24 hours a day during your stay should you require assistance or advice.

“Harwood Cottage short break”

We had a lovely family stay at Harwood cottage. It’s lovely and cosy and modern and handy for both Portballintrae and Bushmills. We have stayed in lots of houses on the North Coast and I would return to Harwood - it had absolutely everything we needed and the small touches like a hamper on arrival was much appreciated. A very memorable weekend!
