Description from owner

Description

A 19th century farm outbuilding Dunsey Beag has been fully insulated and refurbished with central heating and tiled flooring throughout, whilst retaining its original external stone features.

It is 3 miles from Strangford and 2 minutes walk from a beautiful beach. Killard Nature Reserve is 15mins walk away.

Careful planning went into designing a building which facilitates those using wheelchairs, prams and baby buggies in the form of a gradual ramp and broad internal doors.

“Dunsay Beag escape”

Reviewed 2 Sep 2020

Myself and 3 friends enjoyed a lovely two nights relaxation and chat at the cottage. It was just lovely to sit and look at the lovely views over the sea. It was a lovely clear sky so we could see Isle of Man mountains clearly. Our hosts Anne and Mark were very friendly and helpful and the cottage was clean and had all the essentials we needed. The beds were comfortable and clean. I highly recommended a stay at 'Dunsay Beag' cottage. Although we were not that far from home,we could have been anywhere in world.

“Dunsey Beag”

Reviewed 17 Aug 2017

We have just returned from one night spent at Dunsey Beag. There were 6 of us staying here to attend a wedding nearby and the cottage was beautiful situated right on the water. The owners Mark and Ann were extremely friendly and helpful and couldn't do enough for us. I had even left one of my shirts behind and Mark posted this back to me free of charge so shows how they go above and beyond for their guests. I would recommend Dunsey Beag to anyone staying in the Strangford area as you won't be disappointed.
