This 100 year old self catering granite stone cottage is located at the foot of the Mourne Mountains, nestled between the coastal towns of Newcastle and Kilkeel. This recently renovated property is the perfect location for those who enjoy mountain walking, golf, cycling, painting, photography, writing, exploring the stunning locality or simply relaxing.
Cottage now available, minimum of two night stay. Also available for weekend and/or weekly bookings.

“Fantastic”
Got the most wonderful welcome from the owners, the cottage was fantastic with fabulous views down to the sea at the front and of the mountains to the rear.

“Beautiful cosy stay”
Booked this cottage for my friend, her new husband and their puppy. They loved it! Paula was an excellent host and created a welcome sign for them congratulating them on their wedding. Would definitely book again.

“Perfect Mourne Mountain Cottage”
Haughian's Cottage is a perfect place to explore this beautiful part of Northern Ireland and Paula is a very warm and welcoming host who takes time to make sure everything is right for her guests. The cottage is very cosy and comfortable and has everything needed for a relaxing stay. The views out to the Mourne Mountains at the back and the coast at the front were simply stunning and its easy to get to the many lovely places nearby or to the nearby towns of Newcastle or Kilkeel for shopping -which you'll need to do - to ensure you've got a supply of carrots for the donkeys Peggy and Sue, who live in the next field! We are so pleased we chose here for our stay and if we find ourselves back in this part of the world on our travels we'd be more than happy to return.
