The Court of the Thousand landlords is pleased to welcome you to Presicce (Lecce). Small village of Salento, "One of the most beautiful towns in Italy", a few steps from the splendid beaches of the Ionian Sea and the suggestive Adriatic cliff. The b & b La Corte dei Mille gives you the opportunity to stay in a historic home dating back to the early 1600s, completely renovated, renovated and tastefully furnished, located in the heart of the ancient village of Presicce. The historical complex has been, over the centuries, a lively place in which the Cara family has lived since the beginning of the 18th century. Inside the building there is an ancient underground oil mill ("trappitu") where the olives were milled, witnessing the deep-rooted culture of the oil of the city of Presicce. One of the most beautiful towns in Italy, Presicce is characterized by the presence of over 32 underground oil mills, witnesses of an ancient culture linked to the olive tree and its product, oil. Here the so-called lamp oil was produced which was exported throughout Europe. The city, rich in monuments and works of art, is surrounded by greenhouses, small hills covered with Mediterranean scrub and olive trees. In the courtyard of the building, where the main staircase is located, is a stone plaque from Lecce bearing the Latin inscription: "Tua non est hinc abitatio sed aliam cura ubi vita secura". It invites those who dwell in this house not to worry about the earthly habitation, but of the heavenly one. What better wish for a happy and peaceful stay? The b & b is composed of 3 double rooms, with the possibility of an additional bed, all very spacious and tastefully furnished; each of them has a private bathroom, with LED TV and independent air conditioning. Two rooms are equipped with a kitchenette and the master bedroom overlooks a large private terrace; from it it is suggestive the sight of the ancient suburb that can be enjoyed from the roofs. On the ground floor, in the courtyard, a large and welcoming breakfast room is equipped; on sunny days, you can enjoy the excellent Salento breakfast in its flowery atrium.
