Description

Fell Cottage is a charming, stone-built terraced cottage, situated in a residential area just over a mile from Oakworth and three miles from Haworth.

The cottage offers comfortable accommodation and is an ideal touring base for those looking to visit Bronte Country and the Yorkshire Dales.

On the ground floor guests will find a warm and cosy sitting room and a well-equipped kitchen with dining area, boasting uninterrupted views to the rear across the valley.

Upstairs, two inviting bedrooms are on offer, as well as a family bathroom.

Outside, there is an attractive front garden, as well as a patio at the rear, perfect for an evening drink as you enjoy the view and plan your day ahead.

The surrounding area abounds with scenic walks, a short drive allows visitors to take walks around beautiful Haworth and visit the Parsonage where the Bronte family lived.

Haworth is a ten minute drive away, a beautiful atmospheric old town, with its famous literary history makes it a superb spot to go for a day out, to visit the quaint shops and enjoy its choice of pubs and restaurants.

Be sure to visit Skipton, with its cobbled streets and medieval castle, offering access to the Yorkshire Dales, whilst the Victorian spa town of Harrogate boasts fabulous shops, an excellent theatre and the fantastic Royal Pump Room Museum.

This cosy, character cottage is a lovely holiday base, at any time of year.

Oakworth

Haworth 2 miles; Skipton 10 miles

Oakworth is a small Pennine village just two miles from Haworth, overlooking the Worth Valley, made famous by the filming of the classic 1970 film version of E.E.Nesbitt's novel, The Railway Children. Besides its close proximity to Haworth and the moors, Oakworth has an ornamental park, and is within easy reach of the town of Keighley. Nearby Haworth , home of the Bronte sisters, who were much inspired by the surrounding moorland. Haworth has a myriad of curiosity and antique shops, alleyways and cobbled streets creating a wonderful period atmosphere and all this against a backdrop of countryside famously described in the novel Wuthering Heights. Nearby, the famous Worth Valley Steam Railway brough to prominence in the film The Railway Children, makes a lovely day out, with a regular service to the old village of Oxenhope. The area is full of popular places to visit, including the Bronte Parsonage Museum, East Riddlesden Hall and the Museum of Rail. The market town of Skipton, Gateway to the Yorkshire Dales, is just a short drive away, also within reach are elegant Harrogate, vibrant Leeds and Manchester.

“Perfect lovely cottage”
