Description

La Maison de Famille is a family home in the heart of the ancient village of Acerenza, Basilicata, recently renovated to offer every convenience and comfort while keeping the charm of the traditional house of the past. The "Suite Malva", which can accommodate 4 people, consists of two large rooms, one designed as a sleeping area and a living area, with outbuildings and comfortable fully equipped kitchenette, plus a bathroom with shower. The sleeping area, characterized by a beautiful vaulted ceiling decorated and furnished in part with antique family furniture, is very spacious and has a double wrought-iron bed and a sofa bed for one and a half. Another sofa is also present in the living / dining area, with the possibility of becoming bed for one and a half. Guests have full bedding and kitchen, bath towels, hair dryers and complimentary toiletries, in room flat screen TV and kitchen coffee machine and every epresso NECESSARY accessory for cooking and breakfast. The country, known as Horace "Eagle's Nest", is 800 mt. on a tuff hill overlooking the Alta Valle of Bradano and still has intact today its urban layout of a fortified medieval town, with quaint streets and squares who crowd around the majestic Cathedral of Romanesque-Cluniac eleventh century style, the most important of southern Italy. Listed as the most beautiful towns in Italy and fourth ranked in the first edition of "To the slopes of Kilimanjaro", Acerenza is located in the heart of Basilicata, in a strategic position to visit the whole region, rich in history and culture, tradition and flavors in unspoilt nature. Within 30-60 minutes you can reach the main tourist destinations in the region by Federiciani Lagopesole Castles Melfi and Venosa, birthplace of Horace, from the villages of Castelmezzano and Pietrapertosa close to the Dolomites of Lucania, Matera, the famous City Sassi, a unique place in the world, already UNESCO world Heritage site and now European Capital of Culture 2019.
